Hotels near Central Grove, Singapore

I wish we had a refrigerator in our room since we have a baby with us. Was needed for her food. However, 5-stars to Aida who was compassionate enough to allow us early check-in when she saw my baby was sleeping when we arrived the hotel. Overall, all the hotel staff were warm and helpful.

A very clean and centrally located budget hotel which is close to restaurants of all budgets and flavours. The Aljunie mrt station is within 10-min walking distance, local buses to various places in Singapore are just steps away. The hotel space is adequate for two. Highly recommended for budget travellers.

The hotel was clean. The location near shoplot . If need take a bus to Aljunied MRT was no bus out to hotel, need to walk 12 min to Aljunied MRT, not convenient to old ppl. Got hair dryer, shower soap, & filter water, hotel got lift too. Overall was good.

As this is Singapore and accommodation is expensive, this room was exactly what we wanted. It had a window to let in some natural light and the bed was comfortable. There are no facilities at this hotel, hence the 3 rating and no services except booking in and out - both which were done speedily and politely. This is a room for sleeping and nothing else. The hotel is conveniently situated near the metro and bus station so travel to other parts of Singapore was easy. The bathroom is really tiny and that was a little problematic for my husband, who is a large person.

I would recommen this hotel, staff at the counter are very nice and the location is near by bus easy to find the food. No noisy outside and not dangerus even walk around 10 pm.

Great facility, beautiful infinity pool, trendy ambience, food, & excellent reception (specially huge thank to Mr. Talgat at check-in & check-out, the best hospitality ever experienced). However, the only fallout was breakfast buffet, where food was at variety, and delicious, but service was horrible, would say the worst in my life in 5 star hotel, no greeting at entrance (get ready to prepare leading yourself to seat) , no smiling across the restaurant, slowly taking away finished dishes, stacking up, guest moving around table on their own, so messed-up. Must get it improved, or keep ruining holiday mood for travelers beginning a day with breakfast.

i booked an urban suite to celebrate my fiancé's birthday, and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves to the max. the hotel system was down when we were checking in, but our front desk staff, Rosy, explained the situation to us, gave us a beverages voucher to enjoy a drink each while we waited for our key cards at the lounge, and even personally came over to hand us the cards once the room was ready. shortly after we checked in, a staff member from the collection club lounge dropped by the room and gave my fiancé a mini cake, a box of chocolates, and a birthday card. we went to the collection club lounge for evening cocktails and were surprised with a bread pudding platter with a lighted candle to celebrate my fiancé's birthday and managed to catch the ndp rehearsal's fireworks show. overall, the interactions we had with the staff members were exceptional, and we felt very welcomed and taken care of, everywhere we went. the urban suite room was very clean and spacious, and we had a wonderful view of the cbd area. having stayed in many hotels in singapore, this is by far the best room and experience ive had.

Cons: - The whole hotel is undergoing renovation with hoardings/ tarpaulins around, had to walk over to another block via a transfer floor (also under renovation) and change lifts - Main pool and gym seems not accessible due to renovation works - Check-in took quite long to queue, even with all 4 counters in service, still by traditional pen-paper handling with requirement of deposit. Also noted some mass group room booking/ check-in probably by tours/ agents which largely took up reception’s capacity - Sound insulation is quite a problem. There was no seal under room entrance door (could see corridor light seeping through the bottom gap), and under separation door with adjacent room, could hear from neighbours quite clearly - Middle floor’s view of our room is limited to the podium pool (undergoing works), opposite hotel black and back lane of Funan mall. Reckon higher floors would have much better views - Windows of room are quite dirty from outside which affected the view. Single-glazing only, could hear city noises from time to time Pros: - Very convenient location at city centre right next to big Funan mall with direct connection to MRT and loads of food choice; right opposite to old fire station, Fort Canning Park, cathedral, etc; walkable to most city centre spots - Considerably spacious room in heart of city, which was recently refurnished with simple and modern touch - Clean interior, but with some touch-up on damaged toilet wall tiles. Some tiles seems to be replaced but with slight color variance with the remaining ones - Hot water with more than enough water pressure - Comfy beds and linens

As per record, we have booked a connected room with River View for 1 double bed & 2 single beds for 3 nights. Upon arrival at the checked in counter, the staff by the name of Maria straight away offered us an upgrade of the connected room for the 2nd & 3rd night at the upper floor with a better view. But 1st night we have to stay at lower flr in a big room with 1 double bed & 2 single bed. We said OK and she checked us into Room 206. When we got to the room, we rest for a bit before we really check out the room. But my son was complaining about the room. Being the room are like an extended room for the room flr are build by wood and noisy when u walk. No centralised aircond but a split unit aircon which is not cold. Mattress are hard as if it's already more than 10years old. This room gave us a feeling as if we are some illegal immigrant. We went back to Trip.com to check the review and we found few customers are having the same experience. I've screenshot 1 of them and attached as photo. We went down to complaint & demanded change room to the room we booked in advance. And it's not our problem that they over sold their rooms & neglected customers who booked & pay in advance. Till the end, we get the room we booked but Maria claimed its VIP room which this room fits the description of the room we book. On the day we chevked out, Maria was on duty. Very bad attitude. No eye contact, no greetings, no thank you. She don't deserve to be assigned at the front desk.

Easy checkin，and counter very friendly and helpful！ Will come back again！ Toilet and room very clean！ Nearest Chinatown MRT and easy to found it I can accept downstairs is pub and will hear a little bit sound but this is no issue for me！ Love it！ And all google photo is same with picture
