The location was fairly smack in between the town and the temple complex. Consequently it wasn't too much trouble to get to either. Also there was a nice little road in back with great restaurants; all Cambodia was pretty cheap and I don't think I paid more than 5 bucks at any given meal, even at nice places.
The hotel was clean and service was good, but it was old or old style construction. Consequently there was a lot of sound spillover from room to room. The couple next door had a toddler and we heard quite literally everything.
The breakfast was ok. Nothing too great or terrible; pretty standard.

Older hotel but has spacious rooms, large selection for breakfast, staff were very nice. Pool was huge and the highlight of my stay. It’s along the main road to Angkor Wat. I chose this for part of the trip for the ease of access to Angkor.

Very helpful and accommodating staff, appreciate talking to Jackie on the front desk about Cambodian society - not just touristy stuff! Only thing i didnt like was the location (albeit I knew this when i booked, but assumed id be sending all my time in angkor wat). Probably better to be closer to town for restaurants etc but can't fault the hotel itself.

Nestled amidst the vibrant city, the hotel stands out as the epitome of luxury and hospitality. Impeccable service (a special thank you to the manager, John), exquisite, carefully thought out design (you can literally swim from your balcony), and outstanding amenities, I genuinely believe Memoire Palace Resort & Spa has established itself as the premier destination for travelers seeking an unforgettable experience in Siem Reap.
Some of my favorite parts about the hotel and experience in general were:
Interior & Exterior Architecture: A harmonious blend of traditional Khmer influences and contemporary elegance creates a truly breathtaking atmosphere. The attention to detail in the interior design, with its lavish furnishings, excellent choice of lighting, and unique artistic touches, elevates the overall experience to new heights. The room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with state-of-the-art amenities. The plush bedding, tranquil ambiance, and panoramic views create an oasis of relaxation.
The Exceptional Service: One of the standout features of Memoire Palace Resort & Spa is its commitment to providing exceptional service to its guests and the environment. The staff members are attentive, courteous and go above and beyond to meet every guest's needs. The manager even made an effort to visit me at the gym as he could not greet me at the reception. The hotel's staff is truly dedicated to creating a seamless and memorable stay for each visitor. In addition, the commitment to a plastic-free experience was impressive - there was literally none in all the facilities. They should be commended.
Culinary Options: Memoire Palace Resort & Spa boasts an impressive array of dining options, each offering a unique culinary experience. From traditional Khmer delicacies to international flavors. The Stage 1960 had an impressive menu with imported meats I doubt can be found elsewhere; breakfast every morning was beautiful with the freshest local ingredients to create innovative dishes; even the room service, typically an afterthought, was thoughtful with something for everyone.
Location: The Royal Family Suite by Memoire Palace Resort & Spa is ideally located. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the magnificent Angkor Wat, allowing guests to easily explore the UNESCO World Heritage site. Additionally, it's only a 2-minute ride to the bustling Old Market and the vibrant Pub Street, providing convenient access to local markets, shops, and lively nightlife. Everything about this place is top-notch and wonderful! The staff are very friendly, accomodating, and helpful. The rooms are lovely, the pool area is spectacular and the whole place has a very peaceful and welcoming ambiance. The breakfast buffet included a wide variety of delicious foods and we chose to have our evening meal here every night as well. The dinners were delicious and very reasonably priced! I have traveled quite a bit in my lifetime, and Metta Residence and Spa is at the very top of my list of favourite places to stay. I will be back for sure! Thank you so very much!

The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed.
As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved.
The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration.

Every team member I interacted with displayed a genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with any inquiries I had. Whether it was the housekeeping staff ensuring my room was spotless or the waitstaff in the restaurant making sure I was well taken care of, their positive demeanor truly contributed to a welcoming atmosphere. It is evident that the management emphasizes staff training and guest relations, which I greatly appreciated.

Mr Phea, Ms. Thida and Ms. Annie truly deserve my recommendation for their great hospitality, genuine care, and friendliness. I was first greeted my Mr Phea at the airport for the pick-up by TukTuk. It was a complimentary by the hotel. He was welcoming and so was Ms Thida when I arrived at the hotel. Not only with her warm smiles, I was also welcomed with a cold towel and a refreshing lemomgrass drink. We chatted like as if we had already known each other! As the room was already available on my arrival , I was granted early check-in to my room. Thank you, Ms Thida! I love my room. It was spacious and cosy. I wished the mini bar was complimentary but no biggie as there's a small grocery store just across the road where you can buy instant noodles, snacks, drinks and toiletries etc I spent the rest of my day out on a TukTuk for sightseeing and lunch. Mr Phea was my loyal TukTuk driver throughout my stay in Anjali. He was also like a tour guide and a friend to me. He brought me to an area where the Muslim community lives. There's a mosque and plenty of Halal food/restaurants. I truly appreciate Mr Phea doing this for me. Because of this, I had the opportunity to devour the delicious Cambodian dishes of Beef Lok Lak, Amok Fish, etc, without having to worry if it was pork-free and safe for me to eat. He brought me for a drive along the paddy fields and to watch the sunset. When I returned to the hotel, I was greeted by Ms Annie and Mr Panha. They were friendly too! Breakfast was alright to me. My first morning, I had my breakfast prepared and packed in a tiffin carrier as I left at 4am to go for the Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour. They packed hard boiled eggs, croissants, bananas, and little baguettes with jam. Only one morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and I chose Waffles with fresh fruits. There's a buffet of bakeries (bread, pastries, cakes), fresh fruit juices, cereals, and salad. I would totally recommend that the hotel look into an airtight container for the cereals as the ones I ate were all kinda soft and stale. The salad too should be covered because it was 'covered' with fruit flies and flies feasting on it. My two other breakfasts were spent in my room as requested. One of it was exceptionally good. I requested for scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms and I got just that. It was creamy and fluffy! I requested for smoked salmon at the side but was given smoked salmon bagel with rocket leaves and
The morning on my check-out day was sort of disgusting. The scrambled eggs were dry and two of out the croissants were cold. The watermelon Juice was good though. It could have been perfect if a glass of ice was served alongside with it.

GGenya2kOne of the best hostel experience you can get. The hostel is full of activities, it’s sparkling clean, fun, has a young vibe and very attentive friendly stuff. You can make your laundry there or book any of the activities. Great lounge space and fun zone with the swimming pool and the bar. I kept extending my nights, simply too good for this price!

GGuest UserThis hotel made us love Siem Reap, i and my friend travelled for a graduation celebration. when booking, i requested for a bath tube decoration, when we arrived we find that they decorated even the bed. We were so happy seeing it. During our days here the staff are so friendly, smiling and professional it made us feel more relaxed. Everythig we request, they will respond the next minute. They also provided us a tok tok for free everytime we want to go to the city center. And their breakfast is delicious, the afternoon tea is also relaxing. we ate at their bar it was so delicious. The staff at the reception Mr Leep and barang and another third guy are so professional and friendly. They even ask you everytime (how are you feeling) and at the restaurant (Ms Molika, Mr Sokmau, Mr Polin, Ms Neath, Ms SA) are all so amazing and professional always with a smiling face. Honestly i couldn't ask for more service. This was my first time in Cambodia but they really made me love Cambodia. This is now my place to stay. I love the Ambassy Angkor Hotel❤️

GGuest UserWe came here for the first part of our Cambodian holiday. The room is comfortable and the hotel was relatively quiet. I thought their breakfast was amazing and it was included with our stay so please don't miss it. Kimsinh was our main contact there and he was helpful the entire time. He helped organize tickets and dinner reservations. The hotel was undergoing renovations so we did not really enjoy that part of it however, We will look forward to checking out the changes when we come back

SShokieDefinitely in my top 5 hotels of all time. The rooms were big and spacious, the pool was amazing, they have happy hour everyday from 1pm to 5pm, the staff was a solid 10/10.
The food was not so great but edible. I would suggest to maybe add snacks or light meals to the menu maybe Nachos or tacos.
The only problem I had, though was not with the hotel, but with Trip.com itself. They said that the hotel offered free airport drop off or pick up, this was however false ad advertising, and when I contacted Trip.com, I was given the runaround and they wanted to give me not even a fraction airport fee. The airport fee was $29 from the Hotel and Trip.com wanted to offer me 39 CNY which is $5.40. I was very very disappointed by this as my issue is still not solved and I am being taken from point from pillar to post and the whole reason I bought this hotel was because of the free airport drop off saying that the airport is one hour away.

MMariasmdThe room was exactly as show on the photos; spacious clean and bright. I could order breakfast to my room which was great. The first day breakfast was 15 minutes late, but luckily I wasn’t heading for the airport or anything. At the time of my stay there were offering 2 choices for breakfast, which were both delicious. The room came fully stocked with snacks as well as al pullover and Jon alcoholic drinks for cheap. Everything was around a dollar to a dollar twenty five. There is no elevator at this hotel. I was on the third floor and only had a carry-on luggage. Staff were pleasant and answered questions patiently.
