Oberoi’s as they say stand upto the expectations and yes at times go beyond to attend to the comfort of their guests, the very recent three day family visit to Hotel Cecil Shimla from 12th to 14th December was just the experience we were looking forward to celebrate my Son’s 2nd birthday. The staff under the able guidance of their General Manager Ms.Swati Srivastava literally pampered my son who kept them busy with his insatiable demands. It gave us home away from home feel. This British era heritage property situated on Chaura Maidan, on the quieter end of the Mall Road overlooking the Himalayas retains the Colonial ambience and vibes. Breakfast buffet was well taken care of by experienced Chef Rajkumar Bhatia who personally attended us with their specially curated Indian as well as western culinary. One can try there local Himachali cuisines at their extended property across the road to get a glimpse of Himachal culture. I wind up by thanking Shreeja, Rahul, driver and other staff members with the list which is not exhaustive whose names I couldn’t mention because of my limited memory for making this trip a memorable one for each one of us. We had booked 3 rooms for our family at Radisson Kufri from 30th April to 3rd May 2022. The property is new, clean and has a lovely view. I particularly liked the lobby which had an 'old English inn' appeal to it. The rooms are well-decorated and are decent sized. After reading some reviews on the internet, we had booked superior rooms but realized that they have a 'wall view'. Specially the superior rooms in the wing which has the restaurant are very dark because they have a wall very close to the window. If you are interested in a good view, then either request for superior rooms with valley view at the time of booking or book a delux room. We had one superior room in the restaurant wing which we were slightly unhappy about. The hotel upgraded us to a delux room in the other wing the next day after check-in and did not charge us anything extra for it. Really appreciate this! I would like to thank Siddharth, Aditya, Rahul and others for ensuring that we had a pleasant stay. Considering that Radisson Kufri is a five-star property away from Shimla town, expect the food prices to be on the higher side. But the restaurant amazed us with yummy food during our entire stay. The breakfast buffet had an elaborate spread and everything was delicious. We also tried the dinner buffet on our last night and were again not disappointed by the quality and taste of food. Special thanks to Chef Rajesh Rana for himself checking on with us about the food quality and also the complimentary beetroot halwa which was very tasty. One of the family members was fasting on one of the days and had certain dietary restrictions which were catered to well by the chef. Some things that the hotel can improve on in the future would be to add more staffs at the restaurant during breakfast (they are already working on this). The hotel can also carry out periodic inspections of the entire facility for regular maintenance. For example - There was a bit of a leakage into the bedroom from a small gap between the bathroom glass and the wall in one of the rooms that we stayed in. Other than these minor issues, the staffs at Radisson Kufri left no stone unturned to delight us regularly with their service. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We thought that Taj hotels wrote the book on hospitality till we experienced the Oberoi hospitality. While I can wax eloquent on the quality of the food, the breathtaking views, the marvellous heated jacuzzi and pool and the sheer opulence of the hotel, I want to specifically write about the one thing that made the holiday memorable and that’s the people. While every single touch point, from the room service personnel to the f&b team, guards and gardeners made us fee special, a special shout out to Harpinder singh from housekeeping, Anamika,Suman and our dear Mrutiyanjay from the restaurant. While there were a few hiccups, what impressed us was the quality of service recovery. I truly commend Mr Sunit, the GM, for leading from the front. He was always around to receive feedback as well as provide solutions. Can’t wait to be back again!

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst in Shimla. Our room was big, stylish, and had a balcony with a great view. Breakfast was pretty good, and we had the buffet dinner on our first night, which wasn't bad. The public areas are nicely decorated. Whilst we enjoyed our stay, we felt that some of the staff needed further training and were pretty lacklustre. Also we couldn't seem to get our room very warm and the hotel corridors and restaurant were all pretty cold. We had massages whilst there and the room was cold despite the staff trying to locate heaters. The complimentary shuttle bus to the mall isn't complimentary in that it costs, and you would still need to walk uphill to the Mall.

I had a short stay in Theog property and overall was satisfied with the stay except few areas on which I had certain concerns that were raised to F&B manager and others. Havent heard from them as yet but I am sure your internal mechanism is strong to capture and address shortcomings. Was highly impressed with Ayush and Mr. Bhandari in F&B and Ritiv in Front office. Extremely polite and courteous guys.
