we went to check in at 3:30pm and our rooms were not ready due to a delay in cleaning. so we checked in later than night. both of our 2 rooms had food crumbs on the floors, not to mention the many stains on carpet and shower curtain. we found long black hairs all over the bathroom floors. we notified management 2 times and they would not offer to resolve the issue. no room change, no offer to clean it up. the management just writes generic responses to the reviews on here, but does nothing to rectify issues. do not overlook the negative reviews like we did. this hotel is FAR from a 3 star. book elsewhere!

Hotel Haya is an an amazing hotel located in he heart of Tampa’s Ybor City Historic and Entertainment District just minutes and blocks from downtown and the best airport in the world. The coffee shop has the best café con leche of any place in Tampa, the Flor Fina restaurant has a wonderful menu that serves the best lunch and dinner in Tampa. And you cannot meet a friendlier and accommodating staff from the valet to the front desk to the waiters and waitresses and bartenders and even the people who clean your rooms!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent staff; everyone was very pleasant and professional. Had a problem with our room lock so had to move to another room. Toilets are way too low (unless you are very short). Why would a hotel renovate and not update to high toilets? Water pressure was low. Nice feature was the shampoo, conditioner & gel attached to wall. No maid service unless requested ( did not realize this as not told when checked in) only a sign posted. Room very clean and updated. Free breakfast good but ran out of bacon both days that we ate there. Parking fine and always managed to find a space.

There were 5 nights there. Good price/performance ratio. Are Hilton Diamond customers what does not have a big advantage there. The hotel is located something outside a office zone, which is why you need a car. The breakfast is OK and continental is actually enough. The rooms are a little older and partly awaiting what would actually be renovated. All clean and ordened. Some rooms are not recommended, however, since it seems that despite smoking bans, they are sometimes smoked in the rooms or are close to the guest washing rooms and are also in front of them with noise equipment. There you should then contact the staff for another room. This has worked best and smoothly with us. The air conditioning in the room is, as mostly in the United States, relatively noisy and the refrigerator is also heard. We would like to emphasize particularly the extremely friendly and helpful staff, all from the reception to the restaurant to cleaning. They have been treated so rarely and familiarly. I stay here while I was in town for a wedding. Nick at the front desk is extremely friendly and accommodating. Chad was extremely helpful too! The hotel wowed me as soon as I walked in. I did everything through mobile so I missed out on the happy hour special they were running. Once Gina at the bar explained it to us and we spoke to Nick & his manager they were able to give us the card we needed for happy hour. Overall it was a great experience that I had there. As a travel agent, I definitely will recommend it to my clients and will stay there again myself.

Booking in advance is guaranteed, the stay experience is acceptable

The hotel is relatively new. The breakfast is okay. It's not too much, but it's okay. There are more fruits. Tampa is not very warm in winter. The room needs heating, so it's okay to turn on the heater.

The hotel, rooms, and facility was very clean. Julie and Jasmine were super friendly and welcoming and gave us great dining suggestions. Mrs. Ann was in charge of breakfast one of the days we were there. She kept everything stocked, clean, and was so friendly. She made you feel like family. Anything we needed she said ”I got you”. This location is close to everything and has many food options with in walking distance. We had a great stay and will be back.

The hotel is clean, the TV can be connected to its own netflix, youtube , the overall experience is good

Good Stuff: location, amenities, service, cleanliness Bad Stuff: pillows I visit Tampa occasionally for work and this is the first hotel I stayed in that I will try to return to. The location is excellent. There is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. There is easy access to the trolley service. You are close enough to walk downtown or to Ybor. The Selmon Greenway is across the street too - dumps off at the Riverwalk, so it’s great for a run. I was pleased with the amenities. The on site gym is one of the nicer hotel gyms I have been in. The pool looks great - definitely high-end for my normal level of hotel. There is also nice space to eat and drink either around the pool, in the lobby, or out front. I had nothing but positive engagements with the hotel staff. Everybody was friendly and polite. My only issue was it could be hard to get definitive answers from the front desk - lots of “probably,” “I think so,” etc. No issues with cleanliness. It’s not immaculate, but for this level of hotel, it was one of the better kept I have stayed in. Pillows - awful. They squish down to about the thickness of a piece of cardboard. And then they are so long that you can’t really fold them up under themselves well to make it better. The pillows caused me a few nights of problematic sleep.
