This hotel was cute. Only booked it because it was cheap. Lots of construction nearby. Note staff was nice but they could use more. Room was fine. Furniture was stained and there were holes in the walls. Overall, it was fine

Loved our stay over the weekend! The staff were friendly and recommended great choices for dining options especially late night food! We enjoyed grabbing a cocktail from the bar and sitting on the front porch! We were there to enjoy a festival at Vinoy Park and it was an easy 15 min walk through a safe atmosphere. They are adding on so there is construction but that didnt bother us one bit. Love the old world charm of the hotel and cant wait to stay here again in the future!

This is a difficult review. First, the staff was excellent. They went out of he way to be helpful. BUT, the hotel itself is shabby. The room was small, the bathroom was very small. No elevator. One of the staffers took our luggage up two flights of narrow, steep stairs, and I (age 73) carried it all down when we left. In the room, there was nowhere to unpack clothes, no dresser, no closet. The location of the hotel on 2nd Ave is great (we highly recommend the Craft Kafe for breakfast and coffee) and is close to several museums, lots of restaurants and The Pier. One additional warning: there is major construction going on as the hotel is building a new wing, so by 7 a.m. or so you can expect noise. Because the staff was so good, we would consider staying there again once the new wing comes online.

Staff was friendly, it has a boutique feel in the lobby for sure. Room was partially clean, but crud and others hair remained on carpet, bathroom was the worst part, Claw foot tub converted to shower by raising a pipe up, impossible not to make a mess with water in shower, curtains so close together you have to touch both sides while showering. Mold on the side of the wall by tub, corroded shower head, toilet has very small seat (im 175lbs) and have to sit on sideways or your leg is on top of toilet paper roll. Loud window shaker A/C did work well. View out of both windows was active construction due to building expansion (active construction began 0730 hrs Monday morning, literally right next to the windows see pics). Very overpriced at over $400 per night + resort fees, and had to park in a garage a block and a half away, big disappointment, would not stay again.

Quirky 100 year old hotel with claw foot tubs and rocking chairs in the front porch. Exceptionally friendly staff, an easy walk to the pier and parking garage nearby.

I was in St. Petersburg for a wedding on what turned out to be a very busy weekend. The hotel was conveniently located and very affordable. My main issue was noise, both from the window air conditioner and the street noise. My room was at the front of the hotel and there was a lot of noise. I would recommend a room towards the back of the hotel.

Quaint, historical hotel in downtown St. Pete. Free parking at a nice garage less than a block away. Some construction going on now, so can be noisy during the day. Three floors but no elevator, so be prepared to climb stairs (not a problem for us). Cute coffee shop/bar. Stopped for drinks at night and the bartender was excellent. If you love historical buildings, this one is adorable. Loved the historical photography throughout.

It was in a great location and the staff was very nice. The hotel itself is very run down, mattress was lumpy and noisy, sink was cracked, bathroom was very tiny.
