B&B Arco Del Lauro

A wonderful bnb. The location is the best we could hope for--quiet and calm while also within the vibrant Trastevere neighborhood and close to the historic center of Rome. The location is perfect for walking to major attractions while also being a little bit away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The rooms were very up to date, and the bed was comfortable. The service was excellent, and the host was very helpful arranging early morning transport to the airport.

We stayed 5 nights (3 persons) at Arco del Lauro B&B from 28 February to 4 March 2024. Perfectly located in the picturesque Trastevere district, in a quiet, romantic little street, very close to the river Tevere. Pleasant, traditional and rustic restaurants, cafés and main attractions are all within walking distance. Our room was cozy, comfortable, well equipped and clean. The staff were welcoming, flexible and kind, giving us useful advice on arrival. We will most definitely return to the Arco del Lauro. Thank you for everything.

I was traveling solo and felt very safe at Arco del Lauro. Daniela helped with any and all questions I had about Roma and sightseeing. My room was clean and quiet. I enjoy walking and Arco del Lauro is close enough to major sightseeing locations to walk to them, but also gave me the chance to walk enough to explore.

Our family stayed here 16 years ago and it was perfect. We finally returned to Rome and it hasn't changed! Lorenza & Daniela are lovely hosts, caring & hospitable. The room is clean and simple and has everything you need. There are thoughtful gestures such as a basket of cakes in reception and a fridge with complimentary Limoncello. For breakfast you are given vouchers for a local cafe. Great location in Trastevere. We would never stay anywhere else.

We had 6 nights in Trestevere in this treasure of a B & B in the heart of the nicest part of this neighborhood called Arco del Lauro. It was excellent value for money, a good selection of snacks with tea, coffee and Lemoncino was a available all day. This B & B was in walking distance to all the main attractions. The bonus for us was Daniella the remarkably wonderful hostess/receptionist who was so helpful in numerous ways. For example directing us to a laundromat, supermarket, cafe/bars, restaurants, trattorias and much more like local hairdresser. But the most outstanding thing Daniella did was help me while sick with a serious lung infection which has resulted in surgery to my ear. She arranged my appointment with the specialist gave us tips on how to get there and was supportive and concerned for my welfare unheard of normally in any big city in the world but for her it was second nature. Like a gaurdian Angel she did her up most to deliver the kind of support I needed. So I rate her 200 percent out of 100 for her outstanding performance and everything about this B & B 5 stars. Arco del Lauro has just a few rooms in an historic building in Rome's great neighborhood of Trastevere. The charm and comfort outweigh what some North Americans would consider to be small square footage. The location was ideal for us: just a few blocks away are tram and bus lines and a good variety of restaurants. Very near are the bridges over the Tevere and the Isola Tiberina leading to the heart of Rome's attractions. Even the Vatican is a manageable walk. While it seemed odd to have to walk around the corner to a cafe for breakfast, it turned out to be a delightful experience. Daniela was a pleasure to deal with in the months prior all through our stay. Should we ever return to Rome, Arco del Lauro will be our first call.

This was the perfect location for visiting Rome. It is in the quieter neighborhood of Trastevere (quieter but still with plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby) and just a short walk to many of the ancient Roman sites, such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon and is also very close to Vatican City. Our host was incredibly nice and also very helpful. The room was perfect and had all of the comforts you might want (Air conditioning, shower, TV, etc.) We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Rome.

Arco del Lauro proved to be a wonderful choice in Rome. Located in the Trastevere neighborhood, it's convenient to most of the major attractions (in other words, walkable) and there is no shortage of good pubs and trattoria for food. In contrast to some locations, it's blessedly quiet at night. You'll be able to sleep well. The rooms are compact as are all in a major city, comfortable and well appointed. Arco del Lauro provides a mix of coffee and hot water machines, complimentary snacks and a communal refrigerator stocked with a bottle of Limoncello for guests to enjoy. Host Daniela is easy to communicate with and very responsive, providing excellent suggestions and guidance throughout your stay.

We have stayed at Arco del Laura on several occasions and we have loved it every time. Due to Covid, this was our first time back in 4 years and so nice to discover nothing has changed. We love the complimentary breakfasts at nearby cafes and the location of the BnB is excellent to discover Rome. You can walk everywhere. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Trastevere. The hosts here are amazing too. One our favourited travel destinations.
