The owner was very nice. One drawback was customers in one floor needed to share bathroom

One of the best places I stayed during my 14 day visit. Free on street parking 2 blocks from core of city center. I could walk everywhere from the guest house. Breakfast at the neighboring cafe was delightful. Owners were helpful in finding methods to mail cards and post cards. As a solo female traveler I highly recommend the Freyja Guest House.

Realy outstanding location for a stay in Reykjavik, clean house and rooms, quiet neighbourhood, free parking, welcome smoothie and cake, kitchen, and new since my first visit, a lounge on the upper floor. Bathroom/wc shared by 5 rooms was a bit of annoyance in the evening, otherwise no problem really.

Comfortable room, convenient location, good service. We could walk to many places downtown! Bikes free to use too. They say parking, but it’s really street parking, so you have to be lucky to get a spot. I thought I booked family suite with balcony, and we were in lower level beside church. Shower was amazing. Overhead light burned dim all night though. Coffee & tea with amenities were provided. I had to ask for smoothie, but then received a whole pitcher! Delicious!! Bed very comfortable! Would return again!

What a quaint guesthouse. We stayed in room 103 on the first floor with a queen bed, which was very comfortable. The WC was right next to our room. The kitchen was 2 rooms down the hall. In the kitchen, you will find a smoothie assigned to your room every morning. They offer cake as a snack. This guesthouse consists of 3 floors, with the 3rd floor being set up as a game room/observatory room that has 4 windows that open upward. They offer snacks, coffee, and tea on an honor system in this room. Their staff was super helpful. Quick check in very quickly. They held our luggage while we explored the city. My luggage was delayed; they offered to be on the lookout for it and place it in our room while we were on our tour. Our room was very clean. I twisted my ankle on an excursion. We contacted the office in the morning about how to go about getting medical help. Again, they held our luggage while the owner himself gave me a ride to the nearest hospital. This guesthouse is located very close to Bus Stop 8, which is one of the Bus Stops for the Flybus that can bring you from the airport to the hotel. It is also very close to downtown Reykjavik. There you can find many restaurants, bars and shops. Freyja is a guesthouse, not a hotel. You will share a bathroom with other guests on the same floor. The 2nd floor has its own bathroom. We were very contend and happy with our stay at Freyja and when we can return to Reykjavik, Iceland Freyja will be our home away from home.

Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms. You can walk to downtown in five to ten minutes. The breakfast next door is terrific. I will recommend to my friends, and would stay there if I return to Reykjavik! The bus station (for Flybus users) is only a ten minute walk away.

Charming guest house in a great location. Clean, stylish and a very helpful host. There are kitchen facilities, good wifi, and an easy walk from the bus station. Cosy rooms with nice fluffy duvets. A mango smoothie left each day for every guest.

We stayed here twice, once at the beginning and the other at the end of trip to Iceland and had an amazing stay. We are a family of 4 and found the guesthouse to be perfect for our stay in Reykjavik. It was conveniently located near the big church and was in within easy walking distance to most of the shops, restaurants and museums in town. The owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. She always greeted us when we came or went from the suite. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. Parking was a little challenging to find at times, but generally speaking, it was not too difficult to find a spot within a block or two. We had an overall good experience both times we stayed here and would recommend this guesthouse to all visitors to the city.

Lovely little guesthouse - I stayed for two nights on my own and it was perfect. Easily walkable from the BSI bus terminal (I arrived around 1am and felt fine walking) as well as downtown Reykjavik so the location is ideal. They have nice bikes available so I puttered around the city, all day. The cafe next door is excellent too. Room is simple and comfortable, and all the staff are super friendly. Would stay again!
