This hotel has been my second home since 2017. This trip was my 20th time and it's still giving me the same feeling every time: home is where the heart is and I've lost my heart at this hotel. The staff is so friendly, there is great and delicious food with every day a different theme. The evening shows are just fabulous thanks to the professional Latin dancers. Twice a week you have some live music with a nice cocktail and finger food. It's great weather the whole year and the beach is just to die for. Boa Vista is such a peaceful and magnificent island and this hotel is the perfect reflection of all of these values

Quite a good holiday (10.3.2023 - 24.3.2023). Reception services: Upon arrival, the receptionist requires immediate payment of the tourist tax. Why immediately? They said that I wouldn't spend all the money and I wouldn't be able to pay before I left. You cannot pay the residence tax with a debit or credit card. Paying with a 100 Euro note turned out to be problematic. Finally, after twenty minutes, the change was found. I did not use the reception services much. However, I found the behavior of the reception staff to be condescending. Especially at the end of the tour. When returning the key, towel card and room card, the front desk employee behaved condescendingly and directively tried to tell me to write a review immediately. I told him I would write a review. Later and the house. He refused and kept ordering me to write the review immediately and in front of him. Such behavior is strange, to say the least. Accommodation: The rooms are modestly furnished with older (but functional) furniture. Basically, you won't miss anything. The rooms are cleaned regularly. The level of cleaning depends on the amount of the tip. Wifi: As for the wifi, it's really a problem. Wifi is only available somewhere and very weak. In the public areas of the hotel and at the reception. Wifi strength is very fluctuating. Restaurants and bars: The staff in the bars and in the restaurant try their best. He doesn't expect a tip. The approach of the staff is professional, they are polite and very helpful. The selection of drinks and food is smaller and weak compared to the adjacent Iberostar hotel. If you have a choice, choose the Iberostar hotel. The difference in the price of the tour is negligible compared to the services you will receive at the Iberostar hotel. Beach: The beach is clean with plenty of sunbeds. Sunbeds are often damaged. You need to look for a deck chair in good condition. After a two-week stay, I did not encounter reserving sunbeds. The beach is about 50% occupied. Animation programs: Animation programs are very very weak and uninteresting. If there's anything going on, it's only for French-speaking guests. Overall, the experience with the Royal Horizon Boa Vista Hotel can be rated 60 - 65 percent. If you can, choose the nearby Iberostar Boa Vista hotel, where you will get a better experience for your money.

Royal Horizon of New Hotizon, is een accomodatie met losse huisjes. Deze zijn ruim hebben prima voorzieningen grote bedden met goede matrassen. Een eigen terras met tafel en stoelen. De huisjes zijn ruim opgezet in een groot goed onderhouden park. Allemaal met zeezicht. Waarom je extra moet betalen voor zeezicht is mij een raadsel. Strand is dichtbij op het strand zijn voldoende ligbedden en parasols. Dit geldt ook voor het ruime zwembad met zout water. Handdoeken service is aanwezig. Er zijn diverse sport faciliteiten aanwezig een fitness ruimte twee tennisbanen, voetbalveld en boogschieten. Alles onder begeleiding van een groot aanwezig animatieteam. Of gewoon zelf bezig zijn. Er zijn diverse bars en drie restaurants aanwezig. Kwaliteit varieert tussen goed en matig. Maar de keuze is altijd enorm. Over het volop aanwezige personeel niets dan lof. Zij maken je verblijf iets speciaals met hun grote glimlach, hoge bereidwilligheid. Alles is altijd schoon en goed onderhouden. De natuur van Boa Vista is niet erg gevarieerd of u moet van grote totaal verlaten witte stranden houden.

This holiday was "No stress" indeed! Very comfortable hotel, big rooms, great service, tasty food, nice pool, top view over the Atlantic ocean. Beds and brollies always available. Tidy, well kept garden. Close to the airport yet you don´t hear any noise. Pleasant staff. Thank you.

I wish I could write something else but please be AWARE everyone! The very first day I arrived I went out that night, I made sure my balcony door are locked and I put don’t disturb sign on the door knob before I locked the door and left. I came home early in the morning to find out my money was missing from LOCKED ROOM!!! It was about €450 and when I tried to talk to reception if they can check cameras or what is there they can do to help me find out what happened they said they don’t have cameras ??!! I tried talk to delegate but I was told there’s nothing to do??? I mean the money went missing from my LOCKED room! I just wanted everyone else to be aware, no one is even willing to help!

Well we weren't too sure what to expect, we did an RCI exchange. If you are going for scenery, or want lots to explore, don't... Boa Vista island itself is just pretty flat desert. (the other Cape Verde islands are apparently very different). We went to the nearby town, and were glad we did, but really there is not much to see (except for the museu dos Naufragos which we sadly missed as it's only open in the morning!) But onto the resort itself - it was great. The rooms are spacious, and while not luxurious they were very comfortable, everything was kept really clean. The gardens and pool area are well maintained, the bar areas are good too and all the staff are really nice. The restaurant offered a very wide range (and plenty) of good food, mostly self-service, the table staff are lovely, special thank you to Divany and everyone who looked after us so well. And the Entertainments and Activities (Animação) programme and team were wonderful. The resort was't busy when we went and there weren't many of us participating (well just me for quite a lot of the thigs I did!) but the guys didn't mind, they are a lovely friendly inclusive and encouraging team. And the evening entertainment programme is really good - the standard of the dance shows was superb. The beach area is good too, the sea wasn't cold (but watch for red flags for swimming) and the sand was lovely to walk on. We don't normally go for, nor particularly enjoy, this type of all-inclusive holiday. But this was an exception - the facilities and the people helped make it one of the most enjoyable trips we've been on. Thank you.
