Firstly, I must mention the facilities of this hotel. As it is newly opened, all the facilities are extremely new, from the beds and bathrooms in the rooms to the decorations and leisure facilities in the public areas. The hotel's interior design is uniquely stylish, exhibiting a more trendy look compared to other international hotels around this area, giving off a sense of fashion and modernity. Secondly, despite being located a bit far from the seashore, this did not hinder my appreciation of the sea view. From my room, I could enjoy the beauty of the sea and feel the gentle breeze of the ocean, as if I were on a seaside vacation. Moving on to the breakfast, it was quite extensive, offering a variety of choices. From traditional Chinese breakfast options to Western bread and milk, there's something for everyone. Both Chinese and Western breakfast lovers can find something to satisfy their taste buds here. Moreover, the quality of the breakfast is excellent, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors, making it a satisfying meal. Lastly, I must mention the underground parking lot of this hotel. It provides ample parking spaces, making it very convenient for guests who travel by car. The parking lot is also well-equipped, with dedicated security personnel to oversee the vehicles, giving guests peace of mind when leaving their cars here.

Check in was quick and efficient. Rooms are heated and well equipped. Breakfast can be improved. Items are not being refill when running low.

It was a very pleasant trip to Qingdao, and the choice of Diaoyutai Hotel made the trip even more memorable. Compared with the vibrant and light luxury MGM, I prefer the low-key and restrained Diaoyutai. Chinese red and Chinese beauty are the eternal king. The hotel environment is very good, the service is really considerate, and it is very comfortable to stay here for family travel. Breakfast is recommended to be eaten at Diaoyutai on the 51st floor, because of its quality + landscape + atmosphere. Scallion oil noodles are highly recommended. There are many breakfast styles in MGM, but the environment is a little noisy. The key point is that I was very lucky to meet Bella, who is beautiful and kind, at Diaoyutai. From the initial reservation and room selection to the handling of big and small things during the stay, it was really great. I had a little cold on the second day in Qingdao. The considerate Bella also specially asked the kitchen to prepare cola ginger juice for me. During my stay, I would ask her any questions, and she always answered carefully and promptly. I was really moved. Thank you for your company and care during the trip to Qingdao these days. I think we will meet again😊

This is a mixed review for me. On one hand, we paid for a Seaview that had a building blocking 80% of our view. When we asked to change rooms, they gave us a run around and told us to deal with it. We contacted ctrip, and quickly got a room with a better view. From that point they were pretty kind and courteous. Afterwards, we went to the Hawaiian BBQ restaurant that is affiliated with the hotel. We could only stay there an hour as they were closing. My girlfriend and I had one beer apiece, along with two plates of cold kebabs as they didn’t want to heat anything else. We would have eaten more, but there was no food. When the bill came, it was 572. That was surprising to say the least. Throughout the days to come, we realize that all of the restaurants were quite expensive. So when we looked at their room service selection, we were happy as it appeared to be less expensive. Each meal, we bought no more than 300 worth. And we only ate four times while we were there. The bill came out to 4300. I don’t know where their additional expenses came from. The hotel offered quite a few amenities, but we were busy exploring the city. Please not they have very slow room service. However, besides our initial interaction, all of the staff were kind and warm, It is therefore that I say that it was a mixed review. And I hope that this helps someone when deciding to stay.

When you see this review, it means that I approve of the hotel product, even though my review is copied and pasted. On the one hand, it is to affirm the hotel's service, and on the other hand, it is to save my own time. The ladies at the front desk are also very gentle and patient. If there is a problem, I will directly tell you why. So everyone can just take it as a meaning of qualified product quality. Finally, I wish the hotel to do better and better, everyone is happy and safe, and the Chinese nation is prosperous.

Really great location and the amenities include a kitchenette and washing machine which was really helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the metro and is nested in a residential building, there are three separate receptions for different hotels in the building all on the ground floor. Couldn't really connect to the smart home systems due to not having a Chinese number but it's a common problem across China. The reception team is friendly and there is luggage storage post check out.

Con: 1. The room smelted smoke when I opened the door as I wasn’t aware that guests are allowed to smoke in the room so I didn’t request a non-smoking room. 2. The drain was somehow blocked as the sinking trench was filled with water very quickly but took very long time to drain. 3 There was a pile of water by the bath tub when I checked in, which may link to the drainage issue. Pro: The room was spacious and perfectly satisfied our needs. The sea view was gorgeous from the main room and the living room. Every staff member was so friendly and attentive and welcoming. You can order takeout and they will be delivered by robots. The location is excellent and not far from the subway and Qingdao Railway Station. The building itself is part of the evening light show, which is awesome. I’d recommend it to anyone in spite of the issues encountered.

Overall stay was very good. The hotel staff is nice, room was fairly clean. Maybe it’s slow season, the staff all look a bit sluggish. They are either not prepared to answer questions or don’t know how to answer questions. On their website it says they have airport shuttle service with added fee, when I asked them they look dumbfounded. Breakfast was tasteless, nothing was very good. The room I had had dirty windows, and a broken fridge. The hotel staff was nice to put my things in their front desk fridge. Other than that everything else was nice.

Location was great (2-3 min walk from metro) and very near to tourist attractions (good for night walks, about 20 min walk to may 4th square with many roadside food stalls and restaurants available / 1 metro stop to may 4th square). Service was great and meticulous. Towels were all in disinfected packaging. Only downside was that they only had 2 lifts and we had to wait really long just to go back / come down from our room as the lift will stop at most levels on the way.

We had a very nice experience. The service was amazing thanks to Aimee and the service staff. My husband even got a surprise birthday cake. Would definitely recommend staying here.
