Lazib Inn Resort & Spa

I called the hotel to book and check the rates, two of the receptionists told me the same rates, and when i called them again to confirm the booking. They changed what they have told me by increasing the rate. They are not professional at all and this was a very bad experience dealing with the hotel.

We visited mid/late March this year. We had booked many months before and this was to be the highlight and completion of our trip. We had read all of the reviews and were delighted that we had found a little bit of paradise in an unusual part of the world in order to round off our wonderful trip to Egypt. We had booked for 4 nights. However …….. when we arrived we found out that not only were there major building works going on at the bottom of the hotel’s garden but that several of the facilities were not available - the second pool was empty and being maintained and therefore the pool bar was unusable. When we arrived this was explained to us but were told it didn’t matter because there was another pool. There was obviously quite a lot of building activity with hammering and drilling drifting noisily across the gardens. We were shown to our suite which I have to say was very pleasant. It was early afternoon so we ordered some beers to be brought up to the room. The weather wasn’t particularly good and we did have wind and rain. After our beer and the rain having stopped we walked through the town. We came back to find our empty beers still outside the room and the mess on the patio caused by the wind and rain hadn’t been cleared up. As it got dark we went down to the restaurant and asked to sit outside for a drink. We asked them to move a patio heater (of which there were a number in clumps in the grass) to a table. We asked several times and nothing happened so we went inside to finish our drinks. It was then we realised how few people there were - a French couple eating, two youngish women having a drink and us. They all soon left and we were on our own. The food was at best average - certainly not the gourmet experience we were expecting. Service was incredibly slow and not particularly competent. We went to talk to the people at reception and asked to speak to the manager as we weren’t happy. This was certainly not the sort of experience we were expecting. They said they would organise for the manager to see us at breakfast the next morning. Our experience got worse - the building work continued and moved onto the roof next to our suite and continued past midnight. By the next morning we were so unhappy we were fairly sure that we would we cancel our 3 remaining days and ask for a refund. We met the manager who was very apologetic and said he would try and make sure that we weren’t inconvenienced by the building work. It was fairly obvious as we saw the French couple checking out that were probably the only other people staying. We asked and were told that it was Ramadan and the hotel was never busy then. It was obvious that they were taking the opportunity to do maintenance whilst the hotel was empty (except for us). It would Not surprise us that the real staff had been given the time off and they had brought in some fill in staff as they all seemed very inexperienced. No words can ever describe how marvelous this hotel is. The location, the view, the decor, the facilities, the staff, the food are all superb. If you are seeking a cozy, relaxing and fantastic vacation just go there. Be sure to book in advance as it is all year round fully booked.

In Online Photos, Lazib Inn looks Nice… In Person, It Looks Even Nicer! The Impressive Qaroun Lake Views and Landscaping Invite You to Sit Awhile and Gaze in Awe - A Perfect Backdrop for Relaxation! Our Group Occupied 2 Rooms in the Newer Addition (Below the Main House). Both Rooms were Large and included a Nice Seating Area with Fireplace and Balcony/Porch. Interior Décor was Tasteful and Unique. Most Importantly, Beds are Very Comfortable, and Bathrooms are Well-Appointed with an Upscale Shower and Jacuzzi Tub. Throughout our Stay We Experienced Impressive Food, Service, and Amenities. Despite the Winter Chill, A Large Heater Kept Us Comfortable While We Enjoyed Meals on the Patio. At Night, Fire Pits Adorned the Terraced Lawn. Our Favorite Memory is Swimming in the Heated Adults Only Pool On A Sunny but Cold Winter Day. Amazing!

Breathtaking views, personalized and superior service. Delicious authentic and generous breakfast included. Highly recommend. Attended a wedding over the weekend and don’t want to leave. The staff is accommodating and eager to please.

Everything about Lazib Inn and Resort is a wow and a wonder. The color, design, landscaping, spa, pools, food, service and accommodations are a 10. The owners Olivier and Nanette have poured their hearts into creating a gem of a retreat and their touches are everywhere from the art to the architecture, organic gardens to exquisite cuisine, outdoor 'living rooms' with numerous fireplaces to all accommodations offering spacious seating areas and fireplaces. And to top it off, the staff are incredible - caring, attentive and effective. If you live in Cairo or are vacationing in Cairo, this is the perfect escape. Stay a minimum of 3 nights and longer if time allows as apart from relaxing at the resort, there are sights to be seen and destinations close by to discover.

A very lovely experience, my only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer! This was our first time visiting Al Fayyum and we are already making plans to return. The service at Lazib was exceptional, the staff was very polite and attentive. The style, architecture and grounds are so beautiful and colorful. Cool artistic details as well as flowers picked from their flower field adorn every corner.

Food and a**osphere were amazing. Breakfast is fantastic and the service was great. Bakr the supervisor/waiter was excellent and went out of his way for us. Would highly recommend for breakfast and dinner and ask for Bakr. Worth it! Thank you
