Hotel Vila Bavaria

We have already met Petrópolis and we went to family to rest, we chose the hotel because we saw in their photos areas of leisure and swimming pool. The only question that made me not give 1 star are people working in this hotel, they are EXCEPTIONAL, very educated, very careful, requested... they who made our experience not to be noted ZERO, it is the only quality of the hotel. Problems: Linen don't give in beds, they get out in the middle of the night. Rooms are not taken enough, the furniture needs a retirement, it is falling into pieces, the shower is bad, the water is strong/slack in the middle of the bath and has no support for shampoo/conditioner, Then everything is on the ground, the old TV is not working right with streamings. The dirty garden, the window does not close right, the room is not blackout so the room is very clear. The common areas are dirty powders, the game room is unclean and full of bird feces, I have not let my son play. We went to sit down to play one on the part that has a bar and the snacks are full of spider fabrics, a lot of dirt on the tables, we asked for a cup to drink a wine, and he simply has no glass cup, they offered us because the kitchen was closed, The kitchen doesn't work, there's no restaurant or bar, you have to ask for it, we don't even go into the pool because the common areas were so dirty that I didn't have the courage to let my son go. I'm doing this review here because I contacted the Network Manager and nothing was done, I sent the photos I'm going to attach here, and nothing, just a apology, but it is clearly not enough. I repeat here: people working in this hotel are exceptional, first-time employees, the question is that they are little pro hotel size, and they don't realize cleaning it properly.

The hotel is wonderful and offers the best of the day's facilities with the decoration and architecture of the season, in a perfect location for anyone who wants to know the main tourist points of the city walking. The staff are very educated and careful, cleaning is perfect and the wi-fi works very well throughout the hotel. Breakfast is excellent, with various options of bread, cake, cold, jelly, fruit, juices, milk and coffee, and served in a very beautiful location with side view of the Cathedral. The hotel's outermost part offers swimming pool, free parking for guests, exercise chairs and very nice and well-cared gardens. The room is very comfortable and features a couple with comfort, which was my case. It has a large box with available heads, fridge, headboard, chair and lighting, TV with excellent image and a variety of channels, large and soft bed and air conditioning. The bathroom is good, it has a pillow, with a hot and cold water tower and a good bathroom, a toilet with a toilet and a very good shower. I noticed only a delay to warm the water from the shower, but it didn't catch me at all. There are also some hairdryers to borrow, just ask at the reception. In the building I stayed there is an elevator. The trip was wonderful, I'll be back.

Negative points: the signal to reach the reception could be better, and as we arrived at night we had difficulty to find it and we ended up standing far. Room bathroom with private bathrooms a little loose, installation of canoes and apparent channels, open lighting without the cap. A painting with epoxy in the entire bathroom would bring a more pleasant look. In the restaurant, it is a pity not to serve pizza just weekends (on the road has a Lesiramat Pizzas and Vins plate, it has created an expectation). I suggest to remove the plate and put this observation of availability in the cardboard. The mass with shrimp is the delicious, but shrimps were not clean. The jacuzzi area is a cool, we stayed about 30 minutes waiting for the hot water (as planned for use, they could have prepared it to not wait). Jacuzzi was with the open motor cap, the vision was bad, the positive points: the location and common areas are incredible, extremely educated and performing staff. Breakfast, food and drinks, and very tasty, wide and very nice, and a variety of places to relax and enjoy the view. The room was very comfortable and the room was very smart, so we could watch films in our streams. If you want a place to relax, that's the place. Even with the negative points, it would be worth staying and I would certainly return, and I hope you will think carefully about the improvements.

Hi many negative comments, but my experience was good, it is worth noting that Petrópolis is a historic city, and its buildings are very old, as is the case with the hotel building, and the only negative point I see was the noise issue, it really gives to hear everything happens in the hotel corridor, who has a light sleep gets damaged, but the cleaning was good, the pool area is very beautiful, warmed pool is very tasty, the wonderful water (with scheduled time) breakfast OK, and good care.

Wonderful location, main attractions and restaurants are close, it gives to do everything walking (I don't recommend to use a car in Petropolis, because it has a lot of bottleneck), historic decoration, excellent service, good morning coffee (I saw in some reviews that was not changed, but it has all the items needed for a good coffee: eggs, land, cakes, fruit, jelly, cold, juices, cheese bread, sauce etc; we find it changed, yes), beautiful garden with birds, stop and quiet room, everything worked properly: good Wi-Fi, hot shower, TV with streamings, good lighting!
