Pet Friendly Hotels in Bedford

I was very impressed with this hotel.Got a good deal including breakfast.Received a nice welcome from Remalia on reception..Room was good size as was the bathroom with brilliant shower.Bed was very comfortable .Food was good and our waitress Arya was lovely.Breakfast was buffet but had everything that you would need.Its a good hotel in the heart of Bedford and has views over the River Ouse.Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We stayed here 3 or 4 years ago and enjoyed it - this time not so much. Room was ok although the bed ridiculously narrow. Bathroom was fine, view from room poor. The two biggest issues were staff - reception staff lacking finesse - a previous reviewer said ”sarcastic”. I know what they mean but I would have said ”over familiar” and lacking maturity - especially one particular person. One member of staff at breakfast was just plain rude - so I think some training needed. Second issue was breakfast - quality wasn't great - very limited, cheap cereals, fatty undercooked bacon, over stewed tea and both tea and coffee lukewarm. Toaster with a sign saying: ”DO NOT TOUCH THE TOASTER SETTINGS” (seriously which hotel says that on a sign?) under-toasted on one passing and burnt on the second passing. Also not impressed by the ”we only service rooms every second day” statement at check in. Seriously? Most iconic hotel in Bedford saying you need to make your own bed? I'm assuming this is because ”market research says this is what our customers want”? Overall needs much closer, guest focussed quality management. Main entrance was closed due to repairs. No problem with that but what about clear signage pointing to the alternative entrance? We wandered around trying to find how to get in (and out). There is nothing - either outside or inside the hotel. So overall we were left with the impression that having guests was all a bit too much work for management. Won't rush back.

My granddaughter had a fifth birthday party so I booked a stay for the night to save the sixty miles journey back to Essex . Maths came into this and holiday inn came top of the pile with breakfast thrown in so a no brainer . But as you can see by my ratings for cleanliness etc this hotel is way better than you would expect . The room we had was very nicely decorated and spotless. The bathroom was the same but there are tiny little details that might go unnoticed, like the bath towels are size xl and the shower is quality , the bed mattress is top quality . I could go on , but for my money I feel I got every penny . Breakfast was buffet style , so cereal , full English ,tea coffee juice , fruit , eat as much as you like . Microwave in reception , where else do you see that ? Reception toilets spotless. This is an eye opener for me as travelodge used to be my go to . But no more

Location and surrounding felt safe. As I was only staying for 1 night and had been invited to breakfast the following morning, elsewhere, I didn’t have the need to take up the offer of that facility. Maybe next time, as I was impressed with the hotel and their friendly staff, on the whole. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I have no negative comments to make.

The scenery at the door is very beautiful, there are rivers, parks, big geese, flowers and grass. It is also convenient to eat downstairs, there are many customers, and the voice is full. The first floor is all a restaurant, and there are many tables outside. But it's bad to eat downstairs to facilitate business. At 8 o'clock in the evening, I wanted to go to bed early because of the time difference, but my head kept buzzing, and my headache collapsed, especially lying on the bed. It felt like the sound of a certain machine, I thought it was a fresh air system. To the corridor, I found the whole corridor was this louder sound. Knowing that changing rooms is the same effect, but I can't resist the enthusiastic suggestion of Miss Ctrip, I went down to the front desk. People say it is kitchen equipment. Ha! I can say that there is a problem with the structure of this house, and the resonance is so obvious. This is the rhythm that makes people stand in the room. The front desk said the kitchen would stop after 10 o'clock. No way, go to the restaurant downstairs to have a cocktail, and stay up until 10 o'clock to go to bed. In the future, the hotel should be cautious about this kind of large-scale restaurant on the first floor.

Very friendly staff. Hani in particular was extremely helpful. The room was very clean and all you need in the room for a comfortable nights stay. Petrol garage, Burger King and Greggs next door. Would not hesitate to stay again. Well done Travelodge Marston Moretaine.

We arranged to meet friends somewhere halfway between our homes,Flitwick fitted the bill. We booked afternoon Tea. We were early but all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The room we had tea in, was not large, but had comfortable settees in front of a warm fire. Which gave a nice atmosphere. There was a good assortment of finger sandwiches and cakes including scones, creme brûlée and clotted cream. We had several pots of tea and coffee/cappuccinos. We were not charged for the extra coffees. We felt the Afternoon tea was very good value. The hotel could do with a little TLC in some area, and the very deep potholes just inside entrance gates! Could do with filling in. But the staff and value for the quality of food, was good enough for a return visit.
