Avoid if possible. It’s crowded, the pools are too small, it has 1 broken table tennis table for 1000+ guests, the food is bland and repetitive, poorly cooked and at peak times its hard to get a table (they seat guests in reception!). It feels like the original hotel accommodation blocks suited the facilities they had, however, by building the extra 4 x accommodation blocks and not updating/investing in any of the facilities, its a mess. Facilities include: 1 large and poor maintained (20m) swimming pool - cloudy by 2-3pm (not big enough for the volume of guests), 1 small swimming pool (same), 1 x old table tennis table that looks like its about to collapse, 2 poorly maintained boules track, 1 x volley ball court (poorly maintained), couple of play parks and a tennis court (can't be used from 2-6pm) The beach is overcrowded and dirty via a 10min walk through scrub. You have to pay for a bed and lounger otherwise its a longer walk down to find a spot in a very small cove. The drinks package is possibly the worst I have come across on all levels: the beer is watered down and warm, the wine is undrinkable and the spirits are coloured/flavoured ethanol. If you want to buy a beer its eye-wateringly expensive (€5 for a very small bottle of Mythos). From an environmental perspective they have paper straws (yey), however serve all drinks in single-use plastic cups (think kids parties). beer, wine and cocktails included, that all get thrown away.. We had a underwhelming family suite in one of the new blocks that consists of a small room with sofa bed that turns into a small double. The mattress on the kids bed is wafer thin and uncomfortable. The entertainment is non-existent. nothing for teenage boys to get involved with - it really focusses on the younger age group. Positives - the room cleaning team turn-up every day and do their job. We discovered the small jazz bar/cafe around the corner by the snorkel spot (10 mins walk) and was a godsend. In summary, have been to a few AI resorts and this is by far and away the worst. (food, facilities, drinks, entertainment, waste, location).

The good 1. Close to a lovely beach. 2. Food very tasty although a bit repetitive 3. Excellent desserts and ice creams, loads of choices everyday. 4. In a lovely picturesque area. 5. Two pools 6. Clean rooms and areas 7. Amazing salad selections, everything you could think of for a salad, Greek salad, beetroot really fresh, olive pastes, pickles, potato salad and all fresh and Devine. The bad 1. Don’t bother emailing and asking for a cot and a modern room, no cot and dated room. 2. Bed extremely uncomfortable, mattress had well and truly had it and you could feel the springs- Although I did request a mattress topper and it was fitted immediately. 3. Room was tatty and dated. 4. Had to make up the single bed ourselves as they forgot we had children with us. We pinched sheets from another bed in another room. 5. Very very slow check in. Great! After your flight and 1.5 hrs on a coach with 3 kids. 6. Pool has very rough pebble dash side. I cut my foot on it. So did our granddaughter. But! Lifeguard was fantastic and put iodine on my cut foot spray and a plaster. 7. The DRINKS! Are awful. The lemonade is like toilet duck The coke is like syrup of figs The orange is a chemical mistake The wine is harsh and *****s your throat, apart from the ros’e it’s passable. The beer is not beer it’s fizz and froth and watery. The vodka could defrost an engine at 40 below The daily cocktails. Yes! in your all inclusive package you get the choice of a cocktail a day, then another the next etc and they were dire really really bad. In fact we struggled to drink anything on our holiday. And mainly had water and cappuccino out of a machine with extra milk. Which is in tiny little tubs, drinks all inc finishes at 11 pm. You have to pay after. The ugly 1. The rooms - our room was 118. So dated and I slipped over a few mornings walking out the door and slipping on next doors leaking air con unit ( water outside our door dripping all night so a little puddle on the marble floor) not safe. 2. Kids club, they let the kids wonder out whenever they like not really safe. 3. Expensive shop on site. 4. In the middle of nowhere. 12€ to local town by taxi , Bus always full. 5. Italian restaurant isn’t free for guests. ( 6. No air con in the main Buffett restaurant so it’s stifling and incredibly hot. I’ve included pictures of the room we had.

Room was dated, we weren’t lucky enough to get a newly decorated one, don’t get me wrong it had everything you needed, fridge, balcony, wardrobe, sink, bed, safe etc however TV had 6 channels and all in Greek, shower was very small, water got everywhere because of how small it was and balcony was very open and allowed no privacy. Drinks weren’t the best as they used unbranded including fizzy drinks ( e.g not Fanta was called carbonated orange), this included alcohol (like most places though). Food was not great for us, we are both fussy eaters, but they could have had more selection, even just some chicken nuggets wouldn’t have gone a miss as we lived off plain pasta & chips every night… everything was covered in some kind of meat or sauce etc & didn’t feel like kids would have had much option either. It says there are 3 restaurants on the love holidays page, and there is only 1, which is the buffet included in the all inclusive. Entertainment was good both nights we saw, so no complaints there :) Free bus into Pefkochori we found was a lovely little freebie however get there 15 mins before as it left very early both times we used it. Overall, we was pleased with our stay, staff were ok, no complaints but also no praises, average service, and would return if the food & drink was better quality, thanks for a great holiday none the less.

What a brilliant first time in Greece. I was soo nervous reading all the negative reviews but I needn’t have been worried. What a fantastic hotel! Great surroundings, lovely pool, really good selection of food I thought for the All Inclusive. Some samey options but food was different every night. Breakfast was disappointing but ok. Cocktail of the day always really good. Beach is stunning and so close to the resort. You can rent some more luxurious sun loungers for little cost and it’s worth it. Kids disco and live entertainment some nights. We had a brilliant stay and are already looking at booking again for next year. I think coming out of season was a plus as it was not as busy and made the experience all the more pleasant. Rooms were spacious, huge balcony and open plan living area but some rooms could do with some TLC

A very pleasant small resort in a good location for the beach. First time going all inclusive for us. This is a good place to do it as there aren’t any nearby restaurants. The rooms in the renovated building are very comfortable and housekeeping is efficient (however clean cups should be part of the daily service). The 2 pools are well maintained and certainly not overcrowded, however it may be different in high season. The food was well prepared but repetitive, as you would probably expect. The alcohol included in the all inclusive deal is ok and the service in the restaurant was excellent. The entertainments (we experienced 2 live music events were excellent) and the staff were unfailingly polite, helpful and there when you needed them, and not, when you did not.

I had a rather disappointing experience during my stay at Chrousso Village Hotel in Chalkidiki, warranting a two-star review. While there were some positive aspects, the negatives overshadowed them. Firstly, I must commend the hotel for its cleanliness. The rooms and common areas were well-maintained, and this contributed to a comfortable stay. However, the quality of the food was only average at best. The all-inclusive drinks, in particular, left much to be desired. They were overly sweet and seemed to be the cheapest options available. Additionally, it was disheartening to discover that normal black coffee was not included in the all-inclusive package and came at an extra cost. !!! One significant issue during my stay was the behavior of the restaurant manager, Christos. He appeared disinterested in guest interactions, often neglecting to even greet us in the morning. His actions, such as prioritizing higher management and acting condescendingly towards others, were unpleasant. On one occasion at breakfast, when I asked for some croissants to take for my children with me on a day trip, he refused and insisted I pay an exorbitant 10 euros - I told him why I want to take them” he replied “I don’t care, don’t tell me what for, you can pay 10 euro and take them”. This was both unreasonable and unacceptable. !!! !!!! We walked out from our table without these croissants and restaurant staff put them into a bin! When I reported this incident to the reception, it was resolved and my children got their croissants for a trip, but it left a sour taste. Furthermore, the restaurant staff appeared depressed, stressed, demotivated and robotic, possibly a result of an unsupportive work environment. Looks like Christos want to be kind of tyrant for his staff, but that doesn’t work in hospitality business. It's evident that there is a lack of positive management in the hotel, which greatly impacted the overall guest experience. In conclusion, Chrousso Village Hotel has the potential to be a pleasant place to spend a holiday due to its cleanliness and beautiful beach location. However, the poor management, especially the attitude and actions of the restaurant manager, Christos, and the lackluster quality of the all-inclusive offerings, marred my stay. I would not recommend this hotel to others seeking a relaxing and pleasant holiday experience.

We spent an all inclusive week in the hotel with Jet 2 in August. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pool. We think we were lucky with our room allocation as we wouldn’t have wanted to have been in the basement rooms which looked dingy and uninviting. The main pool was perfect, a great size and felt safe for our 3 young children. There was always lifeguard visible too. The pool bar was ideally placed although bar snacks weren’t as freely available as we might have expected- you had to ask for them and there wasn’t a menu to explain what they were. There was a good variety of drinks, I highly recommend the iced coffee, fizzy soft drinks did taste cheap. The ‘cocktail of the day’ wasn’t what I’d describe as a cocktail, basically a couple of spirits and a mixer but they generally tasted ok! We felt there was a good variety of food for adults and kids but the layout could do with some thought. The children’s section was a nice touch with easily accessible options for all at lunch and dinner. The pasta and sauces were very popular but unfortunately positioned with the rest of the hot food which meant big queues formed as we waited for children to faff about loading their plates, this got a bit tiresome. Similarly, the pastries at breakfast caused the same issues and could do with repositioning. The restaurant itself had plenty of tables, felt clean and welcoming and there were plenty of staff on hand. We’d advise eating early to minimise time waiting in queues. Our children were very excited to attend the mini disco after a fab experience in Majorca the previous year. Unfortunately, it was located in the amphitheatre, quite a way from the bar and the main entertaining area. It felt a little shambolic with the entertainment on offer- musical chairs went on forever and the one evening we turned up to be told they were having a ghost walk at about 9:00, this was disappointing as there’s been no previous communication about it and our children were too young and tired to take part. That being said the staff seemed lovely and enthusiastic, perhaps just a little more thought and planning would be beneficial. We weren’t aware that you need to book the shuttle bus to Pfekouri and it’s a shame there’s only one journey there and back in the daytime. The driver did manage to squeeze us on which we appreciated but due to the time it came back we felt we were hanging around for quite some time. Not really a shuttle bus. The beach was walkable but busy and we would recommend reserving beach beds at one of the bars before you visit. The hotel seemed hesitant to do this for us which we found strange. Almost like they didn’t want us to leave the resort. That said once we had arranged and arrived at the beach bar it was brilliant, we got beds right on the front with table service, lovely food options for adults and children. If you’re willing to spend a little money we highly recommend. We did have a really lovely stay

After reading the previous reviews, I was apprehensive about our stay. However I need not have been. The hotel is set in the beautiful Halkidiki countryside making the grounds beautiful, full of fruit trees, plants and flowers. The white wash buildings, play areas and modern pool bar give the sense that you really are on holiday. It is a little remote with the nearest town being a steep walk up the hill. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus twice a day to another neighbouring town. Book this the day before at reception. We had 2 'newer' rooms which were as advertised. The sofa bed is small so not suitable for a teen. The king size bed is comfy and we all slept well. The entertainment staff work tirelessly with aqua zumba, dance lessons, mini club for the children, etc. You may begin to feel as if you've stepped into Dirty Dancing but there is no pressure to join in if you don't want to. Greek night on a Friday night is good fun. The bar staff understand a good measure so go steady with the cocktails- they may taste like sweet pop but the rum, gin, vodka is poured liberally (definitely not watered down). The food isn't great but it's a 3*plus all inclusive - you get what you pay for. We did try the Italian restaurant on site which you pay extra for and it is well worth it - delicious pizza & pinsa. There is no sunbed wars here. The pool doesn't open until just before 10 and so there were plenty of sunbeds available in the morning after breakfast. I hate a scramble at 8am for a sunbed so this was great. The local beach is narrow and busy. There are beach bars where you agree to spend a certain amount to secure a sunbed. The cheaper options get booked up very quickly. We found a spot to throw down our towels on the sand as we didn't fancy paying the £££ for the fancy beds. Overall, we had a lovely time. This isn't your IKOS or Sani hotels but you aren't paying those prices. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. This hotel offered a relaxed, family vibe for good value.

Had the best week here, the hotel is nestled in a beautiful pine forest and the 10 min walk to the beach through the forest is beautiful . The beach was full of course, it's the summer holidays in Greece so what can you expect? But it's beautiful with pine forests all around and mountains in the distance. The food was delicious and so much choice available, the room was lovely and quiet with great air con. Two lovely pools, one can have inflatables the other can't. Plenty to do in the area. We were there in the heat wave so we didn't have our usual appetite for sightseeing. You can hire a car from the resort if you want to get out more. My one complaint is the drinks. Apparently the beer was nice but the wine was not that great and not cold, and the soft drinks were not nice. Can't wait to come again!
