Hotel de Sterrenberg - Adults Only

We booked the hotel for 2 nights at the weekend as a birthday present. There is nothing wrong with the room itself, the hotel's wellness area and the proximity to the Hoge Veluwe Park. BUT: It was not possible for us to make a reservation for a set menu dinner at the hotel that weekend. As it turned out, external guests were given priority over the hotel's own guests. Many guests only ate in the restaurant. This is not respectful of the hotel's own guests, and the hotel should have communicated a deadline for a mandatory reservation when booking or at least when checking in. Even at the possible alternative restaurants in Otterlo, there were no tables available. So the planned gift unfortunately turned out to be a failure in this respect. So if you want to sleep and eat (which should actually be a given in a hotel), you should perhaps make another choice or decide well in advance whether you want dinner in the hotel.

A wonderfully hospitable welcome. Everything has been thought of. We were able to charge our bicycles inside. Clean room. Wonderful wellness, good swimming pool. And then the food, in one word fantastic. Compliments to the chef. Good service with expert knowledge. Delicious wines with food. Whatever you ask, nothing is too much. We had 2 wonderful days.

Great hotel from reception Check in to departure Check out. Spacious and very comfortable room. As for the restaurant…..a real delight….flavors that explode in the mouth, the perfect wine pairings, and most importantly, IMPECCABLE service. We don't speak Dutch and the table staff were fantastic in understanding each other and all with a smile. Certainly, when I saw the breakfast tray arrive, I found it minimalist, but there is a menu to improve and ultimately it was plentiful. Thank you to the hotel for this good time of 2 nights. Very good, Nice bar and restaurant, modern and quiet, Aldults only, big advantage. The room is neat, but the bathroom needs a makeover, which is not proportionate compared to the rest of the hotel. Culinary restaurant, very tasty cuisine, one-star level. The breakfast is a bit disappointing compared to the quality of the dinner, there is no buffet which I personally think is a shame, it is a platter, but the choice is limited, you can choose 1 extra dish, but that's it. not good. The 2nd day for 95% the same breakfast. Still prefer buffet. For the rest, beautiful swimming pool and wellness. But above all very friendly staff.

the Suite is comfortable with a separate bedroom and sitting area. Sitting area has a 2 person table and comfortable sofa. bathroom with spacious double shower, right next to the bedroom, so it is a bit difficult if someone has to get up earlier and take a shower. wheelchair accessible.
