Western Valley Resorts

The location gets an 11/10! Breathtaking views of the valley, the mountains, town clusters, and the tea gardens. We went with the Mountain View room booking, which is on the lower floor and is a large room. Unfortunately, we found the room to be dusty and in need of a good sweeping of the floor. The worst was the bathroom - very plain, not dry, and with a disgusting shower curtain. We had to call for a bathroom cleaning and curtain change, which they quickly obliged. We were still not fully comfortable in the room, and luckily, asked if another was available. One was, it was on the second floor and there's no lift. We didn't care, had a look, and booked it immediately! The views were spectacular from that height and we were within almost touching distance from the tea gardens. The room was large, had a clean big bathroom, and access to a small terrace space. We saw a clear difference in the care and upkeep of the two rooms, so would recommend that the team not be lax about the smaller, cheaper rooms! That said, the views beat everything else! It's a great staycation spot - you can take long walks and admire the ***y ***y beautiful flowers and birds. The ground staff is a diligent bunch who work hours and hours maintaining the beautiful compound. The property is a bit far removed from the town centre, which is what ensures the quiet beauty. But if you want to get out often, it's a 45-minute ride till the main centre. The drive is smooth enough with a few hairpin bends on the way; the road suddenly gets muddy and badly maintained right outside the property. So beware. The staff is wonderful, very caring and prompt. Devaraj at the desk was very helpful with taxi bookings and recommendations. Vivek from the team seemingly effortlessly ferried our luggage and shopping bags up and down the two floors! If you have accessibility needs, it's best you let the staff know. The food was decent, with a smallish menu. The breakfast buffet is smallish again, but featured the usual bread, eggs, and an assor**ent of hot Indian dishes. The restaurant staff, again, was caring and attentive, and you can request eggs-to-order and other items to your table. Kids will love the fresh air, the space to run about, cycle, etc. A small bonfire is possible if the weather cooperates. Enjoy your trip!

This property is located in one of the highest points of Ooty and surrounded by lush nature. A very beautiful and quaint property that feels like home. It's very neat and clean with courteous staff that caters to all your whims and requirements. Mr. Santhosh, the ***ager took really good care of us during our stay. Food was excellent and healthy and we spent our evenings playing badminton. They also have arrangements for different adventure tours and sightseeing and also if weather permits, you can have a nice barbeque in their lawn. Will definitely visit again in near future.

I stayed with family of three in May.22 The weather being pleasant with some rains, it was great to be staying at western valley. We stayed in suite room which has a beautiful view of the valley from the large room windows. The resort has beautiful variety of flowers and u cud actually spend time in resort itself. It's about 25 mins scenic drive from ooty. It's closer to avalance and lake. The food had limited selection but was tasty. The only thing i found wanting was time to service in restaurant. I think ***agement needs to add more staff for better service time. Also one recommendation is that food for room service should be covered. This ensures hygiene and also keeps food warm. I would definitely recommend.

I had been to Ooty (29-May-22 to 31-May-22) with family and stayed in Western Valley Resort which is 14 KM from city center. Quiet and Peaceful place to stay. The scenic view is breathtaking, this hotel gives you the perfect experience of nature. Surrounded by tea gardens, you can view hills as well. Food was delicious, Breakfast complimentary. The resort has a restaurant where either you can dine in or get room service. Weather was pleasant & rainy. Service from resort staff was very prompt in simple words staff is well trained. I strongly recommend this resort for those who are looking for a very relaxed and quiet experience from the hustle and bustle town experience. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in this resort and highly recommend for those who are looking for a great place in and around Ooty.

After reading positive reviews, had decided to stay here but our stay was not pleasant at all. Food is absolutely average. Service is pathetic. Everything was mis***aged. My Sister was initially quoted 'X' amount but due to heavy de***d on New Year's, the ***ager took advantage and charged her more than what was quoted to her. They have 'Save Water' signs throughout the hotel, but we experienced loud gushing of water right outside our window half the night. Only when we called twice and complained, the water was stopped. There is practically just one server during breakfast hours who finds it difficult to communicate in English, hence nothing that we ordered was delivered the way we ordered. The only USP of this hotel is their view, otherwise they are situated 14km away from the centre so travelling to tourist places without a car becomes impossible. If given a second chance to visit Ooty again, I am surely not staying here.
