We had two nights here, while visiting the National Parks on Moab's doorstep. Very pleased for the most part. Check-in was smooth. It is laid out in a motel style, so access to your room is from the outside. The room was clean and spacious. I especially liked the styling of this property... It embraced it's name and stuck to a retro theme. I was surprised to see the outdoor pool remained open (other guests were using it) even in January.
The property is well situated for day trips and dining, with lots of options right there. Parking is free on site but I can imagine it would get full in peak season, albeit roadside parking looked to also be free.
I've held off giving 5 stars for two reasons:
1) The water was shut off entirely due to an issue one morning, for a short spell. I understand things happen but it would have been good to notify guests.
2) The anti-slip bathmat had clearly never been cleaned under. A corner folded back while I was washing and there was significant mold build up. Again, easily overlooked but worth mentioning, as the rest of the place was spotless.
There was a loud argument on-site one night too but this can happen anywhere, and I didn't get the sense that it spoke to the neighbourhood at all. When we ate out, the streets seemed peaceful and other patrons and staff seemed friendly.
