This is a very special place as it is part of a larger area with an old sugar cane factory, a rum distillery and a vanilla plantation. The 'auberge' is an excellent location to stay, although you'd have to drive for a couple of kilometres in order to reach the next village. Beautiful room in old Mauritian style, nice terrace (with many mosquitos), rich breakfast and fantastic food! There's an outdoor pool.

Saint Aubin – I loved the café, good food, nice layout. I loved the park, and I loved learning about the vanilla beans – so did my friends reading my travel notes. The rum production was interesting, moreover the sugar cane a lady kindly pressed for me, since I do not enjoy alcohol. My guide from Summer-Times Tour Operrator was always looking after my interests and arranged the sugar cane juice tasting, since I do not care for rum. He iwas very attentive in a nice discreet way. The shop is not too impressive.

We were there for a outting and lunch It was so lovly being there a very cook and relax a**osphere the staff are so nice and the rum degustation so many rum to taste and they even a boutique where you can buy there home made biscuts special thanxs to sattish the cheerful barman
