After spemding two weeks in Basque Country, my husband and I were looking so forward to a weekend in the Bordeaux countryside. Our friend and booking agent raved about the property which we agree is spectacular. Unfortunately it ends there. The service was mediocre, in fact, sub par for a 5 star establishment that boasts a world class spa and a Michelin star restaurant. The staff seemed to lack training and there wasn’t anyone who seemed to be in charge. We were given misinformation throughout our stay regarding availability or lack of regarding reservations in the restaurant, spa appoin**ents etc. One a particular warm day we inquired about the AC in our room and were told that the AC did not get turned on In the entire hotel until the next day. This was untrue as we ate at the Michelin star restaurant which was wonderfully air conditioned. Our dinner at Vignes was the highlight of our trip! The spa was only available if you had an appoin**ent which was not made clear to us when we checked in. The bartenders and servers in the hotel and Rouge were not knowledgeable about the wines and ingredients on the menu. We were made to wait each morning for a table at breakfast as well. Given the reputation of the property we expected more.

EXCELLENT MOMENT pour l'hôtel, le spa, la table du lavoir et le Rouge. Très déçu de la Grand vigne, saveurs très particulières et risquées (beaucoup d'acidité, d'amertume dans beaucoup de plat, jusqu'au dessert également (rhubarbe), et vraiment très light concernant les portions.

Les Sources de Caudalie is the perfect vineyard getaway. The staff is excellent, the property is gorgeous and there are many activities to take part in on the property. The concierge gave great recommendations for off site meals and activities as well.

Amazing stay at this property, with great staff and incredible activities. Definitely recommend this all around experience, from hotel to spa, wines tasting and dinner, the hotel provide an incredible range of activities and enjoyable moments

The service at the restaurant at this property was awful. I have never reviewed a property. This is an exception. The wind offerings were bar stock or $500 and up. No 150-500 wines were available. This is a winery hotel. I cancelled my 1200 wine order after my dining experience. The hotel was very nice. The personnel had a who cares attitude with a few exceptions

Was my Husband’s birthday that we celebrated in the restaurant, and there was bone in the dish where it wasn’t supposed to be. My husband broke his tooth ( he has to pay 500€ for it ), but we the restaurant offered us a free diner, so we decided to leave it as it is. But in the end of the stay, they have charged us for the Vine from that dinner. Which was a bit unpleasant. Overall the stay was amazing, and views are beautiful.

A very beautiful Place to stay! Very friendly and hospitable staff! We felt very welcome with our two dogs! Next time we stay a couple of days to enjoy this beautiful hotel and also visit The Spa then!
