Green Rooms

I don't need much when I'm traveling. Just a bed, a working toilet and maybe a shower. And I got all of that, for a very good price. I could not fault the location of Green Rooms was excellent, with plenty of amenities around and the underground literally 2 minutes away. I booked a bed in a dorm, the dorm was a lot bigger than I expected and the bunk beds were each in their own section of the dorm. The bed was very comfy, the addition of just having a sheet to sleep with in this heat was good. The bedding was clean, the dorm was clean. Suppose the only thing I would have liked to have seen would be a shelf for each bunk. And possibly an AC given the heat. The staff were friendly and helpful, and dealt with my very few queries. The showers were... Functional. As in they worked if a bit tight fit. It was a bit difficult to fit in clothes and towel and making sure everything didn't end up soaking. All in all, I would definitely stay again and do recommend it to others.

Stayed here after a concert during a heatwave. No air con but they did provide a fan which was ok. Bedding and bathroom was very clean and tidy. Room could do with updating and repainting as there was a broken light and some peeling paint. Great location right outside Wood Green tube. The noise was very noticeable especially as we had the windows wide open and it was very noisy all night. It had what you need for one good value night but it was so so hot we barely slept.

We had a night stay at the Green Rooms for a concert at Ally Pally. The staff are very friendly and whilst we didn’t eat there the Japanese restaurant looked nice. We stayed in a en-suite room with possibly the steepest set of stairs up to the double bed I’d ever seen! There was also a single bed on the ground floor. The room was basic but was clean and had a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. It also had a sink, full size fridge and a large microwave. The bathroom was clean as well and the shower was excellent. Towels were also provided. The Green Rooms is located just 2 mins walk from Wood Green station and had lots of restaurants, cafes, fast food choices around. It’s also excellent in terms of getting to Ally Pally as the bus stop is right outside! I would certainly stay there again if going to a concert at Ally Pally. It was perfect for our needs.

More like a hostel than a hotel. Close to the station and Ally Pally, however it’s situated on an extremely busy and noisy road. Not having air con means the windows have to be kept open. The noise and heat was awful. Not even a fridge in the room. The so called double bed was a bit bigger than a single. Nothing in the room apart from 2 hangers on a shelf. Make sure you read the booking carefully. We booked a room with a shared bathroom, sharing with 7 other rooms! I didn’t even know hotels did this!! And it certainly wasn’t clear when I booked it. The shared bathroom itself was like something from the 80’s, being unisex I felt very unsafe. Just awful. We ended up leaving in an Uber at 2 am.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Only issue with the room was the water pressure in the shower. It made a loud screeching noise as the water came out and the pressure wasn’t very strong. There was also no way to change the direction of the water, it only pointed in one direction so it was hard to wash all areas. There was also a wedding party on the third floor on our second night which was right above us. We were not pre warned about this. It was really loud and inconvenient but was over by 11pm so not too much of a hassle but just something to note. Overall a nice stay but wouldn’t recommend staying for longer than one or two nights.

We stayed at the Green Rooms for one night in January. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags with them while we explored London, The staff were friendly and professional. We booked a private room (101) with ensuite, which was very basic, no TV, no pictures on the wall, no safe etc. There were some tea/coffee making stuff which was good. However the worse thing about the room was the rattling pipes every time we used the toilet, shower or basin it was very noisy. The single radiator barely warmed the room and the heated towel rail wasn't working so the bathroom was freezing. The blinds for the windows were not clean and the bed was right underneath this. Staying here for one night was ok, but for a longer stay I would not recommend.

Amazing little gem, on first impressions i was not wow'ed but actually this is a very good place to stay, the late night staff were very helpful and the security measures after dark are perfect, the garden is lushhh and the rooms/beds are very clean and comfortable. I felt very safe and feel its amazing value for money in London and all with my children! Tip Top!
