I cant say enough good things about this resort. It exceeded my high expectations. Our room was clean and beautiful and spacious. The staff is incredible. The monkeys and sloths and other animals you get to see everyday is priceless. We had a private concierge, Javier, who was so amazing. We cant wait to go back. Highly recommend!!!

This vacation and Tulemar resort checked all the blocks for our family of 5 (kids 14,11,9) - adventure (rafting, ziplining, night jungle tour), amazing wildlife, beautiful views, warm ocean waters, shade trees on the beach, great boogie boarding, and amazing staff and service everywhere you went - smiling, helpful, happy people. I can see how people come back here year after year. We stayed a full 7 nights at Tulemar’s Casa De Mar and easily could have added a week. PURA Vida. We would definitely love to return some day.

Tulemar is a magical place in the jungle along the Pacific coast in the town of Manuel Antonio. Sleeping in luxurious villas surrounded by monkeys, macaws, sloths and other wildlife, you get to experience the jungle with all the amenities of a 5-star resort. Easy access to a private beach and multiple pools, an on-site restaurant and convenience store and a concierge who will attend to your every need. For the last two years in a row, we stayed with friends at Mirazul, a gorgeous 4 bedroom villa with sweeping ocean views, a private pool and daily maid service (who even did our laundry!). Brian Quarta, our concierge, is a special human being, full of energy and happiness that is infectious. He advised us on excursions and restaurants, set up transportation, and arranged for groceries to be delivered to the villa. He made himself available 24/7 and checked in regularly with our group to be sure we were having a great time. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the private beach, which sits on a protected cove and has attendants and food and drink service from the on-site restaurant and bar. The attendants provide towels and set up beach chairs and umbrellas for you, and provide kayaks and boogie board available for use at the beach free of charge. For the more adventurous, there are jungle paths that run near the shore all the way from Quepos to Manuel Antonia National Parks (wear appropriate shoes!). Tulemar is also walking distance to many restaurants and gift shops in town, if you see the need to leave this slice of paradise - our groups was content staying here most of the time!

It was our first trip to Costa Rica and we will be coming back! Tulemar resort was a dream come true. The accommodations (views), beach, pools, restaurants, animals and excursions were amazing! Our concierge Freddy was fantastic!!! He made all our arrangements for everything we needed! It was the vacation of a lifetime! Freddy arranged our transportation, tours (with the best guides), meal reservations and his personal touches made our stay second to none! The Pura Vida spirit of the Costa Rican people is so special and we experienced "Pura Vida" when interacting with all Tulemar's staff! Thank you Freddy, Tulemar staff and Costa Rica for a wonderful visit! Linda

The Tulemar resort was absolutely outstanding. This was our first visit to Costa Rica. I have to start this review by saying the people of Costa Rica are kind and wonderful. Tulemar is like being in a zoo without the cages. We were able to see up close 3 different species of monkeys, Toucans, macaws, two and three finger sloths, an anteater,Iguanas, and many other birds. We spent 15 days at Tulemar in two different bungalows due to extending our stay. Both bungalows were absolutely gorgeous. The property is very well maintained. Tulemar Cafe serves 5 star food. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp OMG. The staff at Tulemar Cafe are outstanding and could teach American workers what customer service is all about. A shout out to Saimon. Sunsets at the cafe are unbelievable. Our concierge was Javier Guzman, a kind gentleman. Javier made sure our stay was topnotch he checked on us every day. He took care of all of our excursions, including transportation, to get there. We went deep sea fishing, zip lining, jet skiing, waterfall tours, and canyoning. Please take the sloth walking tour when you visit. Last but not least, the private uncrowded beach is paradise with beach service, including food and drink.

My husband and I celebrated our 35th Anniversary at Tulemar. We stayed 2 weeks at the Dulce Vida Villa. In all our years together and about 17 resort style vacations, this was the absolute best! This was our first trip to Costa Rica. Our concierge Fabio assisted us in advance of our trip arranging our airport transportation and was available to answer questions via email before our arrival. The villa itself is very comfortable, but the veranda is why you will want to stay here! It felt like a private treehouse. We had our morning coffee watching the macaws fly by and the monkeys climb through the canopy on their way to lower levels. The monkeys were great entertainment and occasionally climbed across the edge of the veranda. The beach was beautiful and private. There is no need to get up early and save a chair. David and a few others were there to help with chairs, umbrellas, kayaks and also ordering food and drinks. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed when we wanted to prepare breakfast or a simple meal. Fabio booked a private chef for us who prepared a wonderful dinner for our anniversary. We also had several meals at the Tulemar Cafe (perfect for sunsets) and at the Italian restaurant associated with Tulemar across the street. There are plenty of activities and ways to see the area, but one thing you won’t need to do is tour the national park. It was nice but we saw more wildlife at Tulemar than at the park. Do know that with all of this natural beauty- you will get some exercise moving around the resort. The shuttle service was excellent! We found it worked best if we walked down and took the shuttle when going up. Tulemar is beautiful, everyone we encountered there from staff to other guests were friendly and nice. The entire vacation could not have been better!!’

First trip to Costa Rica and we are ready to move here! Tulemar is just amazing and we can't wait to come back. Freddy, our concierge, was the best! He's so very funny, we love his singing, and he was always available for anything we needed. Even on his days off Freddy was checking in to make sure we were having fun! They really take care of you at Tulemar. We loved having the bungalow and the Tulecafe right by our room was so nice. And the monkeys love to hop in the pool there! Pura vida!

We had the best time! Monkeys were everywhere, the service was amazing, and we had a sloth right outside our window! Freddy the Concierge was the kindest person, and he made our experience even better than it already was. He came to our house and taught us card tricks; he brought us coconuts to drink while we were at the beach; and he made us dinner reservations at beautiful places we could’ve never found! The food was great, and we had not even one complaint! The restaurant was able to make anything gluten-free, which was extremely helpful. The wildlife is absolutely breathtaking. Before coming to Tulemar, we went to Arenal and Monteverde, and we saw more wildlife in the first 20 minutes than we saw in both places. Monkeys, lizards, macaws, and anything you could think of were there! The beach was beautiful, and the service there was amazing. We had chairs, umbrellas, and towels within seconds, and we could order food and drinks from anywhere in Tulemar! All in all, we had the most amazing time, and we will be coming back! 1000/10 experience

Words cannot describe the beauty of Tulemar. It’s truly a must see. Often times you see reviews and pictures of a destination and are met with disappoin**ent when you arrive. I will tell you that will not be the case at Tulemar. In fact, I do not think the reviews and the pictures of the resort do it justice. We had an amazing time with our two kids. We felt well taken care of. Very safe. And I am saving the best for last which is our concierge Freddy. He continually went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect. He brought us fresh brownies and coconuts. He reached out on a regular basis to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. He gave the best dinner recommendations and took care of all of the reservations and transportation. As the parent who is usually in charge of having to organize all aspects of the vacation, this felt like a true vacation for me. I did not have to worry about anything. Freddy took care of everything. Truly a uniquely amazing experience!!
