I chose this hotel as it is conveniently situated right at the airport. I walked from the train station in the evening and took the free shuttle bus to the terminal in the morning (but could have walked). Staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. I ate in the Grill and the food was good. The room was clean and contained everything I needed.

First time abroad since (shhhh covid) and we decided to have a relaxing night instead of facing a motorway journey to get to the airport in the morning. Lovely surroundings and well impressed with the amount of parking just not how some people had parked! Lovely welcome and introduction to the hotel and its facilities, how, when and what we could use. Opened the door to the room and what a huge disappointment! It was not what either of us was expecting. The bed was nowhere near big enough for both of us to get a relaxing decent nights sleep in and we didn’t. I stubbed my leg on the heater and then proceeded to hit my head on the TV during the night. Lord knows why there is an ironing board in the room there’s nowhere for you to put it up and iron! The bathroom was ok but the shower wasn’t much use for me who didn’t want to get my hair wet (it was a fixed rainwater shower head) and a small shelf in the shower cubical would of been a good idea for you to put toiletries on instead of me having to either leave the door open or bending down (not much room to do that) to pick them up or put them on the floor. Breakfast was really good can’t fault that at all and apart from one bar lady the previous night who barked “what do you want to drink” they were all polite and helpful but the room really ruined our night away. We came to the conclusion (due to the room door to room door distance they were all the same) and when we checked out we did mention when asked how our stay was that the room was really disappointing, there was zero reaction from the lady and didn’t utter a word apart from how much we were to be charged. Room was ideal for single occupancy but you get bigger rooms and less expensive hotels.

Arrived at midnight last night, after a 4 hour drive and exceptionally tired. Walked in to the reception desk to be welcomed by a staff member on the phone speaking with a guest that was complaining die to their room not being cleaned. Once the call was finished he checked me in very quickly and not welcoming at all. I was not given any information about breakfast times or any other amenities. Basically paid for the room and got given the room key and directed to the elevator as if I was inconveniencing him. Got into the room looked beautiful, however was surrounded by a construction site outside my window. When heeting ready for bed wanted to wash my face so took the smaller towel in the cupboard to see that it had been used and looked like there was mascara or a black stain from previous guests. Then I saw that they do room service so decided to give them a call as I was thirsty and no drinks were offered in the room. I called them 6 times without any answer and eventually gave up. Unfortunately will not be returning as the price I paid I expected at least better service from staff and cleanliness.

Lovely hotel right in the middle of Manchester. Nice staff and lovely breakfast room overlooking the gardens. Only issue we had was the card didn’t work in the lift so kept ending up on higher floors and had to walk back down the stairs to our floor. Turns out because I’m left handed I was swiping the card the wrong way, only found this out at check out.

Found hair strands in the bathroom sink when I first entered the room. There are also dirt on the table. There are strange sounds coming from the air con when it is turned to medium fan speed. The hotel feels old and needs refurbishment. Its location is quite convenient for travellers, but it doesn’t worth the price.
