The two ladies on the front desk were absolute stars and tried so hard to make the hellhole of a hotel worth while.
Saturday - Internet on floors 7-14 were not working, and by luck i was able to be moved to floor 6 where the internet "worked" barely
Sunday - Woken up at 8am by a hotel-wide beeping noise, work up many people and took 5 minutes to sort out.
From that point on the hotel only had 3 elevators to service over 14 floors of people.
The fact this hotel things 4 elevators is enough, is an absolute joke, and you can be easily standing around for 5 minutes waiting for an elevator, that then may take you back up to floor 14 and make you wait an insane amount of time.
No electrical sockets near the bed, unable to charge anything such as a phone.
DIsgusting windows poorly painted and poorly cleaned
Your view is either a bunch of druggies in picadilly gardens, or an RBG color-changing building.
"Breakfast" is the most faulty towers POS ive ever encountered in any hotel daring to charge over £100 a night, absolute joke.
Do not stay at the Mercure unless you want anything other than a headache and feel like you've wasted your money
