Loud neighbours, flies in room, discarded fast food in the corridor and rude staff over the phone

Does the bare minimum. Beautiful lobby with wooden decoration. Quite old and run down hotel. Rooms are very outdated with furniture in poor condition. Also air conditioning is poor having to rely on portable fans. Apart from that the bed was very comfortable and shower was excellent with constant high pressure and hot water.

We stayed one night. Overall very happy with our stay, location was excellent to get around , and the staff very helpful with any help we had. If your looking for hotel very central, and good value for money I would stay here again.

It is an extremely dirty hotel . I don’t know what make me so itchy . There is small dot on the blanket , hope they are not bug …. Kettle is dirty and a lady bug is caught . As I am single lady traveller and I not dare to complain. I need to buy a cleaning spray to live in this place , I don’t think they did cleaning. Since after I spray , I really feel better. Only good thing is the hot water is hot enough .

Good location and price was very good . The room was clean to a good standard. Walking distance to Manchester Piccadilly train station.

I was disappointed with my stay. When I arrived, the room felt stuffy and had an unpleasant smell. The heating also wasn’t working, which made the room very cold. I contacted reception to report the issue, but I was told nothing could be done and that I couldn’t be moved to another room. I then asked for a portable heater because the room was too cold to stay in comfortably. Unfortunately, it took quite a while to arrive, and I had to call reception a second time to chase it up. As this was my first stay here, it wasn’t the experience I expected. I hope the hotel improves how it responds to maintenance issues and guest concerns in future.
