Situated a stones throw from the port, scallywags, with its delightful villas, has all the basic amenities you need for an amazing stay on Gili Air (including conditioner which was hard to come by!). The staff were lovely and we would particularly like to thank Arya for his hospitality and close attention to ensuring we had a great stay. Every night of our stay, there was a delicious BBQ offering local food, including lobster which could be scarce, subject to the fisherman’s catch. The beach is superb with plenty of sun loungers. Unfortunately, the diving centre was closed during our visit but there were plenty of other options on the island. Thanks again to the wonderful staff, we will be back soon! - Kate and Lorenzo

Had a great room, plenty of space. Comfortable bed, great shower and aircon. Beach was just over a road wich only saw cycles and the odd horse. Great view of the sea while eating breakfast. BUT the smell of the rubbish waiting to be removed from the beach was not great. Not the hotel fault but needs something done about it.

Nice cottage and very good location. The staff very nice, a demolition anyway: the bungalow had an unpleasant smell of humidity! We slept with the doors and windows open! It spoiled our stay a bit. Too bad because the rest was perfect.

The photos are misleading. There is no swimming pool. And the beach in front of the hotel is unsanitary. Scam on the place also: 2 sites of this hotel on the island:
- one is located by the sea in front of a beach near the port and dirty, with all the trash cans on the island which are placed every evening. So simple, to find the hotel follow the nauseating odors…
- the other site is in the center of the island... right next to the mosque. Hear the call to prayer as best you can when you are there.
IMPOSSIBLE to have bicycles. One shot is yes, one shot is no. Unavailable and unhelpful staff. It’s a change from Bali!
Very old seaside rooms which have suffered a bit of aging without maintenance after the years of Covid.
Scandalously expensive. I don't understand the good ratings from booking sites!!!! Knowing that everything is false. Long live Photoshop!
TIP: there are some really, really nice hotels on the island. So don't be mistaken. Ideally to favor the East and West coasts which are very nice. And above all much less unhealthy.
Oh yes, you are charged additional costs even though on the ******* site it is either not indicated or not the advertised price.

Musty smell in the accommodation. We had 2 rooms. The second room is very limited and does not correspond to a 4*, there were worms, spiders....

Scallywags is een fijn hotel met mooie huisjes zeer dicht bij het strand. Op het terras kan je heerlijk zitten. Drinkwater op de kamer is onbeperkt. Het ontbijt biedt voldoende keuze en is lekker. Je kunt het ontbijten op het strand waar het hotel ook ligbedden en parasols heeft staan. Het strand en de zee zijn prima
