The Emerald House Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton

The pros are a clean property, comfortable bed and good breakfast for a buffet. We arrived from the states at around 10:30am. They offered to hold our bags until we could check in which was nice and told we could go downstairs to freshen up and get into our bags to change. They never mentioned when the breakfast buffet would end or the strict adherence to the time cut off. Tired and hungry we changed and came upstairs and asked to be seated. It was 11:00am and the food was still available and people were eating but we were told it ends at 11:00am and we would not be allowed to eat. The concierge told us a few places but they were not open until 12:30. We only discovered this after walking there. On another day we were leaving for a tour and it was 7:29am and was told we could not eat until exactly 7:30am. Wow. They are located very far from most activities so to not offer breakfast a little earlier or even give a 1 minute leeway was disappointing. They are a good 1/2 hour atleast cab ride anywhere. Walking options are almost non existent.
DUO Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton

The Hilton Curios are never a let down. We are diamond members and always try to stay at one wherever we travel. I was skeptical with this hotel considering it had just opened but we chose it anyways due to its location and happy we did. Location is great, staff was very helpful. The day we were departing the airlines were on strike and the staff went above and beyond to try to help us with all our concerns to get back to the US, which we were very grateful for! The service in the restaurant was little too slow but I'm sure they were still working on the ”new opening kinks” so cut some slack! The rooms are a bit tight, but who really stays in the rooms anyways! Loved the decor of the rooms and entire hotel, most important the beds were very comfortable and the AC works great! Would stay here again 100%
