We have often stayed in Haria and have watched some of the dilapidated buildings in the area bought back to life. Nothing quite prepared us for the incredible transformation of this building into a luxury hotel. The owner and man responsible for its rebirth is Jose Antonio and his eye for detail and beauty is very much on display. He has managed to save a lot of the old wood and has restored the building sympathetically with quirky touches here and there mixed with beautiful old furniture. The bed was so comfortable I thought I was floating on a cloud. The house and grounds are stunning and there is clear scope for more expansion. This hotel together with a couple of really good restaurants and a weekend market make Haria a destination that deserves a visit.

Jose created a lovely and very beautiful place to stay. The historical building underwent a complete refurbishment and is done in tasteful, respectful way. Around the hotel there are lots of interesting places to visit within short driving distance : beaches, architecture, good restaurants, walks, ... The rooms are spacious with good shower and bed. Breakfast is 'a la carte' with good choice and tastes delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

After all the rave reviews we were expecting somewhere really special. The hotel is an old house that has been converted to a so called “luxury boutique hotel” with 4 stars. Somewhere along the way they must have run out of money to invest. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is excellent. However in our room (4) there was no storage space, so we had to keep most of our clothes in cases on the floor. Most of the furniture is old and what is termed “distressed”. We only had one chair and table in our room, so if we wanted to relax, we had to lie on the bed. There is no garden to sit outside, just a very small internal patio with uncomfortable chairs. The roof terrace has just two very old tables and chairs available. It seems to be designed to discourage anyone from going there, which is a pity as it would be a great place to relax with decent furniture. The car park is an absolute disgrace, surrounded by derelict buildings. On the other hand breakfast (25 euros each) was excellent. Fresh fruit, yogurt and a wide range of freshly cooked dishes were available. We did not eat in the restaurant as it was closed for the first two days we stayed. The staff were all extremely friendly.

Beautiful property very different from usual Lanzarote resort hotels. Haría is a charming little city which has kept its old buildings. Very unique place.

This hotel is exactly as you see in the pictures. It is a wonderful, cozy and private hotel. Our family had 2 rooms for 3 nights and we loved the peace, the location, and the breakfasts. Equally good, this hotel is located in the little, authentic town of Haria which is charming. We came here for an authentic Tenerife experience, and we found it in Haria and this hotel. Great meals at the Green Door restaurant too.

La Casa de Los Naranjos in Haria, Lanzarote, is an 8 room hotel in a beautifully restored manor house on the outskirts of the small town. Every bedroom is different and designed with the style of the house in mind. The staff are attentive but unobtrusive and the food is incredible! On our first night we had their 8 course taster menu which they do once a week and it was completely delicious. Breakfast is served either in the central courtyard or one of two indoor dining areas and gave us the perfect start to each day. This is not a hotel for those who want a pool, bar etc. This is like staying in a friends' amazing country house. When you are shown around on arrival you are told that La Casa is your home for your stay, and that is how it feels. It's quiet, relaxing and unique. We hired a car for the week which gave us easy access to the beach and all the wonderful iconic buildings designed by Cesar Manrique. We fell in love with this hotel and Lanzarote.

I have traveled regularly to Lanzarote over the past 15 years, staying mostly in Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. I stumbled across Haría on a map whilst searching for great locations to visit for landscape photography during my trip. Intrigued by this small village, nicknamed the Valley of a thousand palms, I decided to research the area a little more. The moment that I saw La Casa de los Naranjos hotel online, I knew I had to stay there! I wasn’t looking for just a holiday. I was seeking a solo adventure, away from the crowds. Somewhere peaceful, tranquil and unique. Haría and La Casa de los Naranjos didn’t just meet that vision. They exceeded it. From the moment the taxi dropped me at the gates of the hotel, I was mesmerised by its charm and beauty. From the moment I stepped though the doorway, I instantly knew that this would be my first of many visits to come at this beautiful boutique hotel. I really didn’t realise just how much I needed some ‘me time’ to relax, unwind and recharge until I arrived here. The a**osphere that Jose has created is magical. Time stands still. Each and every staff member were all equally as welcoming, friendly and approachable and at no point during my stay did I feel like just another guest in a hotel. The experience here is a personal one and is much more a feeling of mi Casa Tu casa. The hotel is full of character and charm with a beautiful mix of its historic roots and modern touches. My room (Room 2) had high ceilings with chandeliers in both the bedroom and the bathroom. The mattress is the most comfortable that I have ever slept on and the free-standing bath was yet another luxurious touch. A candle lit, deep bubble bath experience after a long day hiking. Jose took me on a tour of the hotel where I was shown most of the other seven rooms. They are all equally as beautiful, all equally as luxurious offering their own individual touch of charm and character. Breakfast was delicious. Starting with juice, a hot drink, fresh fruit and Greek yogurt with nuts, raisins and dried fruit. You then select your choice of cooked breakfast from the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed goats' cheese with avocado on toast and Omelette. You are also served your choice of delicious home baked cake. The brownies and carrot cake were perfecto!. Haría is a beautiful village and the local people are very friendly and welcoming. I had the pleasure of attending the festival during my stay, an amazing cultural experience. I highly recommend climbing the mountain/volcano just behind the hotel for the most amazing sunrise views. The beautiful views can also be enjoyed from the hotels large roof top terrace. Everything about my time spent here was magical. La Casa de los Naranjos Is my new found place of zen that I really can’t wait to return to. Staying at this gorgeous boutique hotel feels like you’ve discovered a secret place, away from the rest of the world. Thank you Jose, Barbara, Pilar, Dulce and Javier for my unforgetta

This hotel is an absolute gem. Located in the very characteristic village of Haria, it is set into an old villa which has been totally renovated and a few amenities will soon come. Breakfast is an absolute must! The staff is very courteous and professional. I would recommend this site with no restraints!
