The Salty Lodge

The location is perfect, close to everything. The rooms are tidy and well equipped. The rooftop is amazing, perfect for having a drink and watching the sunrise. The staff is super nice, they also helped us book boat trips along the coast. Highly recommended.

Friendly lady at reception and easy check in. Very clean apar**ent and a nice touch giving a welcome pack which includes oranges and water. Great location in the old town. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Well equipped kitchen with microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and full cooker. Good space in the living area. Great shower. I could only give 4 stars, as unlike most other places, you are not able to choose the apar**ent you want to stay in when you are booking it - the management allocate an apar**ent for you. We booked a sea view apar**ent with a balcony. The photos on the site show some great great balconies with views. We were on the 3rd floor and our view of the sea was very distant (see photo). The balcony was very narrow (see photos). It barely fit two narrow chairs and a small table. There is a fabulous roof top terrace and indoor space which many of the photos of this place show but sometimes you just want to sit out on your own balcony and enjoy the view but that wasn't a decent size for us to do this.

Great location and we enjoyed the size of the apar**ents and having a full kitchen! Nice rooftop area with views of the town and beach. Super friendly and helpful staff! Plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Perfect spot if you are looking to stay in Old Town Lagos.

Salty Lodge ideal location and very clean. The room we had was a one bedroom apar**ent which was perfect for us. Our small deck had a great ocean view! Joanna at the front desk was a pleasure to work with. She gave us lots of good advice on where to go for hikes and which restaurants to go to.

What a wonderful experience and spacious place. Very comfortable as if it was a second home. Staff were extremely helpful and communicative throughout the checkin process. Use of WhatsApp was definitely a plus. The upper floor/rooftop was a nice place to chill and unwind with exceptional views. The hotel is in the middle of everything so finding places to dine was a breeze. Laundry services were speedy and a nice option since it was the third leg of the holiday. When returning to Lagos, this will be where I will stay.

Clean, spacious apar**ent with an outstanding roof top deck. We were here for 3 nights and it met our needs perfectly. We borrowed the bikes, enjoyed the roof top deck and appreciated the fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning. I would love to return. The staff was excellent. We had a 1 bedroom apar**ent with a sea view. The apar**ent was lovely. The bathroom is quite small with no room around sink for toiletries, the bathroom door and shower door did not seal completely. However, these felt like very small issues that would not prevent us from staying here in the future.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Salty Lodge for three nights. We had a streetview 1 bedroom apar**ent, and thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and space we were provided. The apar**ent was clean, roomy, stylish, and well stocked. The bed was big and comfortable, and we loved having a small balcony facing the main *****, good for people watching. The rooftop common area at Salty is absolutely beautiful, with great views, and large covered/indoor area to hang out in as well. The location is great, and Lagos is very walkable. We frequented bars and restaurants in the area, and shopped at markets and liquor stores, which allowed us to easily use the kitchen in our apar**ent. We were stoked on the free bicycles available to guests, and used them to make the trip to Ponte De Piedade much quicker than if we were on foot, but be sure to inspect the bicycles before taking them out, as the first one i grabbed was falling apart a little bit and felt unsafe, but the second bike i used was perfect. The people working the desk at Salty Lodge were both very kind and helpful. The only negative we experienced was not a big deal at all, but it can be a little bit loud here, hearing doors in the hallways close early in the morning, and people in the main street late at night. That didn't tarnish our stay however, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends. Overall a very positive experience. Obrigado!

This place was Perfect! I wanted to move in full time! We have a 2 bedroom on the 4th floor with a view over the water. It was bright and airy and clean and comfortable. My older son was under the weather with a stomach bug so he spent a lot of time lounging on the rooftop lounge reading while we explored. I was happy he had a nice place to enjoy the view and relax. Everything is right outside the door, groceries, wine,cafe, beaches, museums. We loved Lagos and if/when I return will be at Salty Lodge. Joanna was very helpful at reception and there is regular housekeeping. Can’t say enough, I travel ALOT, don’t hesitate.

The staff is super, apar**ents clean and well furnished, well central located. We stayed 11 nights and each day everything went very well. On top, we received answers via whatsapp very fast. Recommended. We would choose The Salty Lodge again in the future.
