Room was huge, definitely more than we expected. Very clean rooms. Location right smack next to the hokan-ji, so it might be a bit crowded but it’s where all the action is. The only bummer is that the accommodation is not staffed most of the time (or at least through our duration of stay) so it might be a bit difficult to get their assistance on anything. Otherwise great place, would recommend.

I feel the floor hygiene could be better. My feet get black after walking for a while and my shoes are a bit sticky.

The hotel is very conveniently located, close to Yasaka Pagoda and Kiyomizu Temple. The facilities are new and the floor heating is comfortable.
However, the hotel service is very average: the check-in time was notified in advance, but the heating was not turned on when checking in, and it was very cold. The attitude of the check-in reception staff was also average. It cannot be said that the attitude is bad, but the above service is definitely not worth the price of 9k per night. The hotel is very beautiful. It is very close to Nienhan and Sanhan and is a two-minute walk away. However, the price/performance ratio is not high, especially when I was dragging three suitcases and two strollers with me. I almost collapsed 😂 but I hate taking pictures of the hotel.

Amazing location! Unforgettable experience. We stayed in room 5 - really liked having our own terrace outside. I read in reviews earlier that you need to walk to the hotel (pedestrian area). We arrived in the evening, by official taxi, they took us to the hotel itself.

The hotel is very good, but it's not directly accessible by car. It's a bit tiring to walk 300m on the cobblestone road with my luggage. There's no service. The kids in the room next door are very noisy when they check out in the morning. The sound insulation is average, but the view is amazing.

The entrance to the hotel is small and easy to miss, but the exterior of the house is antique and the interior is neat and clean.
