Very angry, not polite, not correct and not friendly manager on the reception. I felt unthinkable rudeness here, disrespectful attitude towards guests. For other staff no questions, only the administrator had terrible behavior. Let's hope that someday the administrator will know and feel the humiliating attitude towards himself personally. Perhaps she will be in future a good person, but there are strong doubts about this. Never, never will back to this hotel!

We stayed here 5 nights. As Diamond members. we were upgraded before our arrival to an awesome suite, which was greatly appreciated. We found everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. This hotel is particularly well designed, with high end finishes, great showers and comfortable beds. The A/C worked perfectly and the room stayed cool during really hot weather...we only had to turn it on occasionally. The rooms are very well laid out. Our one bedroom suite had two full bathrooms, providing a fantastic level of comfort. The breakfast was great. We are plant-based and healthy eaters and both of us were very happy with the great selection of fruit, salad, olives, wonderful olive tapenade, breads and other fresh options. The hotel is perfectly located with the old town an easy walk away. There's also great grocery stores and a DM very close by as well. For me this was the rare flawless stay. I did not expect that in Bulgaria....great job by the team here. :)

Super near Plovdiv train station. Friendly helpful reception. Spacious room. Fridge and toilet heater unplugged, had to plug in myself. Mini kitchen only comes with microwave oven, no cooker no kettle no utensils etc. Love the huge toilet sink. Suggest to have shower curtain and more hooks in the toilet. Bedroom carpeted. No room slippers provided. Don't bother about the view. Noise can be heard next door. 15 minutes walk to city centre. Overall stay-able for 1 night.

We booked a junior suite and enjoyed a very pleasant room with all the usual amenities. There was a very long and dark corridor to get to our room which is OK as long as you don't drop anything and expect to find it again. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring Plovdiv and filled our needs perfectly. If you choose to include breakfast with your booking you have to go to a café about 40 yards away. The breakfast is nice enough but the menu is very limited. The big plus point about this hotel is the reception staff who are so nice and friendly. This hotel is recommended for a short stay in Plovdiv.

Our stay at Hotel Imperial Plovdiv was nothing short of extraordinary! We were there for a week to attend a wedding, and the experience was filled with joy, laughter, and impeccable service. The wedding reception was hosted at the hotel itself, and oh, what a splendid affair it was! Everything was executed to perfection, from the decor to the organisation. The staff were so incredible that we couldn't fault them, even when some of the groom's side got a bit too tipsy before the wedding party. They handled everything with grace and a smile, making the entire event flow seamlessly. The food was a delight to our taste buds. Each meal was prepared with care, and the included breakfast was an absolute MUST. It became our favourite way to start the day, filling us with energy and anticipation for the adventures ahead. And speaking of adventures, the concierge was a gem in helping us explore Plovdiv, a city rich with history and culture. They provided us with a map and insightful suggestions on things to do in the area, making our explorations all the more memorable. We would come back to Hotel Imperial Plovdiv in a heartbeat! This is one of the nicest, most comfortable hotels we have ever stayed in. We stayed in one of the small rooms (Elegant) for 3 nights and while small, the bed was large and comfortable. Our room had a great little terrace that looked out over the street which we used every even to drink some wine and people watch. The bathroom was very clean and even better had an actual large shower, with a door that closed and did not splash water all over the floor, which is a rare and surprising luxury in Europe. The included breakfasts were delicious and had a variety of offerings including very good scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, small pasteries, etc., along with the usual cold meats and cheeses, yogurt and cereal that most hotels offer. The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly, and they gave us a nice little tour of the Roman bath that was discovered during construction, which added to the charm and ambiance of the hotel. The location is excellent and very walkable. There is a private parking lot, but we ended up not using it since we only rented a car for one day. Our only complaint was the room got kind of stuffy at night, but we could not use the air-conditioning because the central system was set to heat (it was late October) and they could not switch on the A/C to one room. We did open the window to ventilate the room, but closed it while sleeping due to the proximity to the street noise and vehicle exhaust (not the hotel's problem, Plovdiv would be well served to limit vehicular traffic in this area). Overall, a fantastic hotel with incredible staff and a great value!

Two years ago I visited and later wrote a review for this hotel. I thought then that the hotel was the best Holiday Inn in my entire traveling experience (I have been traveling and staying about 40-50 nights per year in Holiday Inn hotels around the world the latest 10 years). I still have the same opinion - this is the best Holiday Inn hotel I have visited and stayed at. The hotel is very close to the Old Town, just across the Maritsa River. There are plenty of good restaurants in 1-10 min walk. The hotel's own restaurant offers gourmet quality breakfast, both food and drinks. The rooms and the entire hotel are very clean and nice looking. The entire staff was very professional, friendly and went above and beyond what I have normally experienced in their effort to make my stay better. Thanks to the hotel and the staff, and looking forward to my next stay.
