Very relaxing 2 night stay as part if our trip around Borneo. The rooms are spacious and comfortable (a little dated) and the hotel has a rooftop bar that provided us with views of one of the best sunsets we have ever witnessed. The hotel were also kind enough to offer us a free welcome drink at the bar along with a cake to celebrate my birthday. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

The staff is very nice & efficient. We noted it’s a smoking room after check-in, and the staff arranged another non-smoking room for us as requested upon booking. The swimming pool locates on the rooftop, with a rooftop bar & restaurant. Located near the city center, close to lots of local food & restaurants.

Hotel is nice, clean and have good amenities. The room is clean, though not new, but all amenities are working fine. The bed is comfortable and comes with 2 pillows each. The room even has a study table. We use it as a dining table instead. The room has a unique toilet. The shower and toilet bowl is separated having a door each and next to each other. Also, the wall and door of the toilet can slide fully open exposing the sink and the doors of shower and toilet bowl. You can just slide to close everything if you want privacy. The hotel staffs are nice too and attend to your request promptly. I requested for extra pillow and they sent it within a few minutes. The breakfast was also good and delicious. They have a wide variety of dishes from local, western, Indian, Chinese. Though everyday is similar but they change certain dishes such as from fried noodle to fried kuey tiow, fried rice to nasi lemak, etc. The hotel is also close to the waterfront, eating places and walking distance to Suria Sabah shopping centre. Overall, a good hotel to stay in.

Overall our 2-night stay at Hyatt Centric KK was comfy n relaxing. The lobby n top floor lounge ambience is excellent~feeling of calmness. Rooms are spacious n clean with beautiful sunset seaview. We especially like the bathroom with sitting bench~ a considerate design for guests who prefer to sit n shower. Restaurant staff were very well-mannered n helpful. The hotel is well located just opposite the Sabah Suria shopping mall, so it's very convenient if you wish to dine out or shop around…

New experience to stay in such hotel, superb service, excellent care of the guests, beautiful deco and set up. Highly recommend for any potential guests to sabah. The standard review only provide 5 stars rating, personally I give ritz residence, miminum 8 stars ratings. Things to improve : The lifts, for those driving, need to make it more inconvenience.

Location: +++++ 3 mins walk to nearby mall (Serway point?) with plenty of shops and eateries 5-7 mins walk from the night market (pasar malam Sinsuran: seafood dinner, light bites, local snacks and dried goods) Facilities: +++ Complimentary bottled water and coffee Heated shower Towel, soap bar and shampoo provided Working lift Few hangers and prayer mat provided Aircon working well Classic lock and key door knob Cleanliness: ++ Pretty acceptable and would have given higher if not for the 3 cockroaches that came to accompany us 🥲 no idea where or how but they made a grand entrance from behind one of the bed. And torn bedsheets though clean Staff were friendly and prompt when we asked for missing toilet paper.

the room is okay for the price.. but the heater in the bathroom is broken, the heater used to make hot water is also broken.. when I come to the counter it will be checked.. even when I woke up, there was still no check.. There is no heater to heat the water to drink because everything is broken.. I have to take a cold shower and drink cold water..😔

The location are superb. Its very convenience because near 7E, Orange, restaurant and big mall. Easy to find food and things needed even late night. The only thing is the bed are suit only for 1 person while I'm book for 2 person and the room are not soundproof. By the way, everything is ok and excellent. I enjoyed staying in this hotel. Had a very good time at this place. Staff is very welcoming and super friendly. Staff, all kinds of volunteers and other guests can always advise you on how to have a good time in KK. Variety of comfortable and cheap rooms, a lounge area to chill or watch movies and a cool reggea bar downstairs to have a good night. The Hostel is located in the centre of KK, everything you need and more is in walking distance (supermarket, convenience stores, delicious and cheap restaurants, night markets, filipino market at the sea, great thrift store). Can absolutely recommend and will be back!!
