Overall, the hotel was decent, especially considering the price. However, there were a few issues. First, the front desk staff had a really bad attitude; they were quite rude. They wouldn't let us check in even one minute early, insisting we all stand around and stare until exactly 2 PM before we could queue up to check in. I really don't understand that policy. Second, they don't provide new water or toothbrushes when they clean the room! On my last day, I called to ask for a toothbrush and water, and the person said they could only give me a toothbrush because I was checking out that day (they didn't even provide water the day before). Third, the shampoo and body wash were terrible – they were like a jelly consistency and didn't lather at all. I highly recommend bringing your own.

The location is great! And the luggage storage is a really nice touch 👍 But it's strange that a family room only gets two bottles of water... and you can't even ask for more! It's very close to the beach though~

This hotel is truly excellent! The rooms were cleaned promptly and thoroughly every day (just remember to hang the 'clean my room' sign before 2 PM, otherwise the staff will be off duty). They even provide cookies and green tea. We were a party of three and stayed comfortably. It's also super close to DBKK, Suria Sabah Mall, and Gaya Street, just a few minutes away. Honestly, I can't find any flaws. The only minor point I could nitpick is that the front desk staff aren't very fluent in Chinese, but their service was incredibly warm and friendly. The guy from the 9th floor was particularly polite; he brought us extra supplies multiple times and even took off his shoes before entering our room. Super courteous!

First off, let's talk about hygiene. My skin is never usually sensitive, but for some reason, I got bitten by something in the room and it was incredibly itchy. I kept scratching, and when I asked Doubao (the hotel staff), they said it was likely dust mites or due to subpar room cleanliness. Secondly, the hotel is quite old and run-down. It's true that being close to the street means you hear motorbikes buzzing at night, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to think twice. Gaya Street is very small, and there are many other hotels to choose from.

Our room was on the second floor (with a ground floor entrance), and the king room was about 3-5 square meters smaller than the twin room. The style is similar to hotels in China that are 30-40 years old, but the location is excellent. Pros: They offer free luggage storage for guests; it's right opposite Suria mall and behind Gaya Street, so you'll have no trouble finding food and shopping; the concierge was very friendly, opening doors and greeting us proactively; the in-room hardware was well-maintained and clean, with no strange odors, and the bedding was clean with a fresh laundry scent! Cons: The soundproofing needs improvement. We could hear sports cars and motorcycles passing by, generating 20-40 decibels of noise about every ten minutes. We only got proper sleep late at night when traffic died down. The shower facilities are also quite old; the glass door didn't effectively prevent water from spilling out of the shower area, and the showerhead holder made it difficult to adjust the angle of the showerhead. Overall: Clean! Convenient! Great value for money! If you're very sensitive to noise, either bring earplugs or request a room on the opposite side, closer to the main entrance and facing the smaller road, instead of one facing the main road and Suria.

The room didn't have any strange odors, the shower pressure was great, and the service was excellent, with Chinese-speaking staff available. We were able to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. We stayed two nights and the sheets and toiletries were replaced promptly.

The location is convenient for getting around, with Suria Sabah shopping mall right across the street. If you want to go island hopping, the jetty is just a short walk away. The room was clean and well-maintained.
