Front desk amazing people!,Full of suggestions and always with smile! Easy check in and out! We stayed at the main building, top of the hill, with an amazing view. They have golf cart to go up and down to the beach. Due to the busy week we walked, very hard!

Petit déjeuner et dîner en self. Plage privée très minimaliste et sur les rochers mais sable à proximité.

I have stayed at the grand blue many times over the last few years I have to say I hadn’t been for two years and I noticed a difference the food was the best we have had it was always very hot and fresh and we enjoyed everything we had , the rooms are lovely lots of space a lovely sea view , it was lovely to see old friends that are still there John the buggy man he’s lovely , Daniel the chef also the lovely man that does the eggs in the morning and to new friends especially Tamara on reception who went above and beyond for us she is amazing , there was only one little problem we had my friend was spoken to very rudely by the lady who was managering the restaurant about using the coffee machine saying she shouldn’t the staff should be getting the coffee we was not asked once for coffee in the morning until our last day so we just helped ourselfs along with lots of other guests didn’t think this was a problem and I will say we were never shown to a table in the restaurant of a night either which in the past we always was however this didn’t ruin our holiday and we will still return .

Me and my partner did 4 nights at this hotel. We booked this for a break from normal life and our children so we was really looking forward to the much needed break. We have good points and bad. Il try keep it straight forward Good points 1st- Great location to the airport and only about 10 minutes drive. Check in was very easy Nice golf buggy to our room late at night Nice spacious room and sea view exactly what we asked for Nice size balcony Plenty of wardrobe space Bathroom was really nice Plenty of bars Plenty of toilets and very accessible Views from the restaurant fantastic Soft drinks all name Fanta,Coke etc in cans or bottles All the resort was very clean Great location for the Kardemena centre Check out have shower facilities and towels provided. Bad points - At Check in 1230am we was told we could have a drink all inclusive but them the barman and manager refused us saying we was too late Misinformation from the reception Luckily she talked the manager round to give us 1 drink as it was very late We was given 2 dry sandwiches on arrival that looking shocking(I'd advise after speaking to others you stop this it's just waste) and maybe think of something else. Nothing in our fridge when we arrived to have a drink If you have walking difficulties the hotel is on a very steep hill.yes they do have golf buggies but like we found out you can be waiting 20 minutes or on one occasion it didn't even come after waiting over half an hour. The food isn't great....especially for kids I really don't know what kids would eat. No pizza, nuggets or burgers Pasta was very bland The snack bar is a total joke...a small type of oven that has pizza or pastries in there for ages to just go dry and crispy. Worst snack bar ever see picture attached that is it and then a freezer for ice cream. Drinks can be very strong and horrible so we needed to tell most bar tenders to only put small bits of alcohol in the drinks to make it bearable. Prosecco not on the All Inclusive which is strange for 5 star. Some staff clearly had no idea what information to pass on. We was told different things by different staff Panorama restaurant is only open on an evening (we wasn't told this before arriving)see picture attached saying it was open(this sign needs removing) A la carte wasn't open either at all though (we wasn't told this before arriving) No mini bar in our room ALL the pools are freezing....hardly anyone in them. Even some kids wouldn't get in them(why would you want to go away and not be able to get in a pool) Surely 5 star should have a heated pool if there so cold. Pool towels were pointless....very small and thin.also you've to have a full week before they replace it for a fresh one. Entertainment is a disgrace....most people were moaning about it and not enough of it through the day. Tried to charge us room service fee for water because we had none and 2 bars wouldn't give us any to which the reception said they should be doing. Luckily she sw s

We enjoyed our stay here. Ill list as pros and cons: PROS - the location is great. Less than 10 mins drive from airport, in Kardamena which is quieter than Kos town and the hotel itself is not in the town but a 10 min walk along the coast away which for us was even more perfect as we were looking for a relaxing break but close enough to places to go out and eat. - 3x swimming pools on site, no problem getting sun loungers though we came in October so might be an issue peak season - love that the rooms are in blocks over the hill. We got a great sea view and it was nice to walk out into sunshine and not hotel corridors. - everything was clean. From rooms bathrooms hotel lobbys and pool sides - hotel is on steep hills but there are lovely gentlemen happy to take people up and down in golf buggies. (We were happy to walk most the time). - everyone is really friendly - our room (twin room) was really spacious inc. the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Air con worked great. Good balcony with drying rack. Patio door had a mosquito screen so we could open the door and close the screen. Smart tv also so could access netflix! Tea coffee facilities in room. - really comfortable sun loungers. CONS - would have liked to have massage -but was fully booked as theres only one therapist. Book in advance. - asked for an iron and was told “they can’t guarantee theyll find one but they will look”. It didnt turn up and i spent the holiday wearing creased clothes. A 5* hotel should have an iron!!! - breakfast was underwhelming. It was fine and you wont leave hungry but as a frequent traveller, it certainly wasnt a 5* spread, particularly hot food (or lack of it). - outside of meal times you wont get much food. We were booked for breakfast only (not all inclusive) and our flight landed early afternoon. We got to the hotel around 3ish starving and just wanted a sandwich or similar and was told lunch service was over and the a la carte dinner started at 6 (which we needed a reservation for). Poolside has a few snacks which the bar guy was lovely enough to offer me and i was grateful for, but would have been livid if i had to pay for it as it was nothing more than a dry breadroll with a slice of cheese and also pretty rubbish if thats all on offer outside of set mealtimes. We had just landed and didnt want to go hunting for food in the town so just bear this is mind. - room was only cleaned once during our 3 night stay. I dont mind reusing towels but floor and bathrooms should be cleaned. I guess we could have requested a clean which we didn’t. - “beach” in front of hotel is not a beach but a ***** of mud with some sunloungers. Not the hotels fault I suppose but can’t really advertise it as such. Nicer beach few minutes away for public that we used. Overall we were happy with our stay and would come again, but some areas of improvement needed which made me feel this is more a 4* and not a 5*.

If you're looking for a 5-star establishment, look elsewhere. My family and I had never been accommodated in such a mediocre hotel. - Environment: while the scenery is fabulous, the slopes (up to 30%) of this hotel will quickly make you forget it. - Rooms: it's a disaster. We had room 94, located as far from the pools as from the restaurants. The room was not very clean, totally in need of a refresh. The shower curtain was unhygienic for a damaged bathtub with dirty seals. Very uncomfortable beds causing back pain after 9 nights. To top it all off, a colony of ants had taken over the room. We alerted the maids and reception by showing a video of the cohabitants but no one intervened despite beautiful promises. Towels were old, torn and irritating. Even a roadside hotel wouldn't offer such discomfort to its clients. - Restaurants: you have to book for the à la carte restaurant but you must also notify what you want to eat if you don't want the imposed (Greek) menu. Impossible to order the à la carte steak (+ €20 supplement) as we had not notified beforehand. How to do so when no one has explained the principle before? Quality of the à la carte restaurant menu: really mediocre. The chicken soup made me sick. Main restaurant: a school canteen. Always the same meals with no variety and of poor quality. Don't even think about eating international, it's a utopia. The upstairs does offer a different country's menu each evening, but it remains minimalist and not very tasty. Fish and meat overcooked and therefore dry. For my part, my meals for our first 5 days of vacation were: * morning: mini plain pancakes * noon: tomato sauce pasta and watermelon * evening: tomato sauce pasta and watermelon From the 6th to the 10th day, we dined at Thomas Grill & Mezze in Kardamena - Pools: the only positive point even though the surroundings and the very dirty deck chairs were never cleaned during our stay at the pool exit towards Kardamena. The trace of a spilled Pepsi on a table and on the ground remained all stay. - Entertainment: almost non-existent. Really very very disappointed with our family stay at the Grand Blue in Kos. But we will come back for Kos and its really nice inhabitants in another hotel. Alain, Veronica and Alejandro

This Hotel deserves a 5* category. I came with my son from the 22nd until the 27th. Almost just before the season gets close. The impressive service, the quality of food (all day long) and the rooms setup, makes us consider to come back and tell our friends about our experience. We stayed in room 66 and 67. Great view, great housekeeping. Thank you on all of you again

We stayed here. There is 3 lovely pools. One is quiet and the other pool had nice fun music playing. Bar staff at pool friendly. One waitress was really bossy and complaining in her own language to the other Waitresses. Food was lovely good choice. The beach is tiny outside hotel. There is a beach future down the road but prepare to sink in the stones as it gets deep quickly. Lovely restaurants nearby hotel 10min walk and lots of cute shops with clothes and gorgeous paintings. Room in hotel lovely best sleep ever could not hear a sound. Beds great and comfortable. Room cleaned every day. Nice that we had tea/coffee available in room. Entertainment provided by the lead entertainer guy was very great. Really enjoyed the singers, the belly dancing. Music after was really good too pity the guests staying at poolside didn't make more of effort to have fun instead of glued to their own board games . Couple from Ireland.

I've been to several 4-star and 5-star hotels, this is definitely the worst 5-star I've been to. For the first time I was hungry, yes I was hungry in a hotel expectations. It is clear that they are having financial problems and they save as much as possible on everything. I had to ask for my room towels to be changed 3 days later they were still the same! I would have preferred to have paid double and chosen another hotel if I had known it would be like this…
