Hotels near Baan Chuddanip in Koh Samui

The large hotel has modern and very clean rooms and a very good room service. The TV in my room did not work. The swimming pool is very nice but unfortunately there is no gym available. You can rent a motorbike there for 300 baht per day (quite expensive) but unfortunately the staff there is not easy to reach when you wanna return the bike. You can park the bike at the nearby Central shopping mall which is quite complicated because the parking space is very narrow. All in all I would recommend the hotel!

The best hotel I’ve stayed ever! It’s located on a cliff, far from noise, great views! There’s free shuttle bus to Lamai beach or Chaweng beach. The hotel owns an App to introduce everything and communicate, very convenient, staff are helpful! The breakfast is fantastic, super delicious! Eggs, drinks, fried rices, etc all you can order! Free flow champagne as well! We didn’t stay in a villa, but the view is good, room is big! There’re 2 infinite pools in hotel, and one private beach! We heard there’re some water sports available but the tide was too strong to do so during our stay! We had a great time, will definitely stay there again!

When we arrived at Ko Samui airport, the transfer service from the hotel worked perfectly. We received a very warm welcome at the hotel and were given our room straight away. The room (Grand Deluxe Room) far exceeded our expectations. It's less of a room and more of a small apartment without a kitchen. The hotel complex is absolutely paradisiacal. Lots of beautiful plants and very well maintained. The beach was amazing, the most beautiful beach we have seen on Ko Samui (we explored the whole island by motorbike that we also rent from the hotel). The sea - turquoise blue clear water. The great thing is that it is a private beach so only accessible to hotel guests and therefore not overcrowded. The food was fantastic. There is a very large selection and there really is something for everyone. The pool area directly on the beach with an included pool bar is very beautiful. And the cleanliness of the whole hotel was excellent. What particularly impressed us and what we have never experienced on our many trips... was the warmth and friendliness of all the staff. Everyone was always helpful, funny and good organized. Friendships developed in this short time, for which we are very grateful. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you have done for us. You gave us a wonderful honeymoon and organized such a beautiful candlelight dinner that we will never forget in our lives. Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

This hotel is located out of town on the far end of Mae Nam beach, close to the ferry terminal, it is well presented with a lovely pool over looking a small piece of private beach. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the accommodation is nice with rooms and bungalows available, our bungalow had a fridge, safe, good bed, hot shower and complimentary tea, coffee and water. Breakfast was included and was very good, overall the hotel was good value for money.

My recent three-night stay at the Renaissance Koh Samui was an enchanting journey, filled with an exceptional level of service that beautifully compensated for the hotel's aging facilities. From the outset, the resort's fusion of Asian and Thai architectural elegance warmly welcomed us, accentuated by the delicate blend of styles and the presence of wood-clad interior columns, real wood floors and furniture. This seamless integration of tradition and geographical context, with brick and tropical roof tiles, created a captivating atmosphere. The lush foliage and well-grown trees embraced the surroundings, creating a vivid backdrop that captured the essence of the beachfront location. While time had etched its marks on the facility, the fusion of architectural styles and natural elements into the design remained a captivating feature. Our overall experience was outstanding, even as we encountered a few unforeseen challenges. On our second night, our beachfront BBQ plans were thwarted by the weather. The staff's quick thinking and adaptability came to the forefront as they seamlessly transitioned the venue to an indoor space. The speed and willingness with which the entire BBQ setup was moved indoors showcased the dedication to providing the best service possible. Moreover, on our third night, the pool bar staff went above and beyond by suggesting a private beachfront dinner to make up for the previous night's interruption. Though this well-intentioned plan was again impacted by the weather, their commitment to ensuring our satisfaction remained unwavering. What truly set this experience apart was the unwavering dedication of the staff. Their warmth and attentiveness overshadowed any inconveniences we faced. The restaurant and bar team, led by K. Woody, Honey, and Ken, consistently exceeded our expectations. Their personalized service made us feel genuinely valued as guests. The culinary journey, particularly the breakfast led by Executive Chef Chef Seng, was a delight. Despite the aging signs of the facilities, the culinary offerings maintained an impeccable standard. The coconut water coffee, and Samui Egg Benedict were exceptional, showcasing Chef Seng's expertise in curating a blend of local and international flavors. In summary, my stay at the Renaissance Koh Samui was a testament to the power of exceptional service to transcend the limitations of aging facilities. The resort's captivating fusion of architectural styles, the embracing of its environment, and the staff's dedication created a memorable retreat. The team's responsiveness, especially during weather-related interruptions, demonstrated their commitment to guest satisfaction. As I reflect on my stay, it is clear that the warmth of hospitality and the genuine care extended by the team are what truly define the Renaissance Koh Samui.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 1 week, arrived from the Airport with no luggage as Bangkok airways lost it, checked in to the hotel and was met by a lovely member of staff who was waiting for me, she offered me a welcome drink on arrival which was very much appreciated after a long flight. After check in, was shown to my room which was a pool side deluxe room with Double bed and En-suite. Room was very clean, spacious and came with Fresh towels, Toiletries, a Mini fridge stocked with beers, satellite T.V, Aircon and some free drinks/snacks. My stay came with free breakfast every morning, which was very handy and the selection was always really nice. Lots of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, eggs cooked to the way you wanted along with a choice of tea/coffee and fresh juices. Staff are soo friendly and welcoming, they clean your room everyday and provide fresh sheets and towels as well as toiletries. The Hotel is quite modern and staff had decorated the reception for Chinese New Year with lanterns and fairy lights. The position of the hotel is good, about 10 min drive in a taxi to Fisherman's village, which is full of bars/restaurants and shops. The hotel is also right on the beach, so you have the option to swim in the sea or the pool and look out onto the amazing views. I loved my stay at this hotel and would highly recommend! (Only negative thing I can think of is that the Pool Bar was never open, so it would be good to see this open in the future).

This is my favorite hotel ever Holiday Inn Samui. Perfectly Breakfast, Fully furnished room, Big swimming pool, Kids playground, Kids Club and etc.I have to mention this; we met ‘Khun Nim’ at the great breakfast restaurant and she took our family to the Kid club… After 3 days our child almost sleep there. They’ve got 3 or 4 staffs am not sure to take care of your children and also break time to clean the room, toys and etc. For parents are perfect cause you can leave them there, some information paper to sign, just don’t worry they’ve lots of activities for your children; playing, listening, watching, painting, drawing and climbing. We need more time here.

The Mercure Samui, is hands down one of the most spectacularly positioned hotels on the beautiful Chaweng beach. At just one year old it is also the most beautifully landscaped and furnished of the many hotels we have been so lucky to stay during our travels. The team who maintain and care for the hotel and clearly understand the importance of guest services is outstanding. From the wonderful management of Nat and Nina, to their beautiful staff of whom there are too many to mention and the amazing reception team of, Sira, Bella, B and Daris, there was nothing that they didn’t do to make our stay as perfect as possible. We wish we could name them all. Everyone was wonderful! We had planned a seven day stop over here on Koh Samui as we came to the end of two months travelling in Europe. We chose the Mercure and Koh Samui on a whim as hopefully a restful place to unwind. We couldn’t have asked for more! We only wish we could have stayed longer! The breakfast each morning was a buffet with a chef station for selecting items that could be made on request. The restaurant team at meal times and at breakfast was cognisant of my wife’s gluten intolerance and catered for her with excellent alternatives. They were brilliant! We had not considered a return to Koh Samui before our arrival but all that has now changed. We will indeed return to the Mercure for the pure joy this wonderful hotel provided us during our stay. The beach is one of the cleanest and calmest of the beaches we have visited in Asia. Travel too and from the Samui Central mall or down to Lamai is inexpensive and extremely well serviced by small buses that pass by the hotel at least every five minutes and cost just 100 THB. The rooms are beautifully furnished as you would expect from such a new hotel. The beds very comfortable and the bathroom excellent. A fabulous shower! We stayed in pool access room, 2005. It was a real treat to be able to walk into the beautifully clean and well appointed pool whenever we felt the need for a refresh. Access to the pool and the beach was easy from all rooms with plenty of shady deck chairs available. The three bars, on the beach, in the pool, on the rooftop of the restaurant, offered happy hour times that varied between venues. As you can see from this review, we loved the Mercure on Koh Samui. We are already planning a return visit!

We had a beach bungalow (737) and it was absolutely amazing, it was right on the beach front a few steps away from the sand, bed was comfy the tv was good and the air con was efficient and kept us cool of a night time. You can just sit on the terrace and stare out onto the gorgeous beach with crystal clear water. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and really went above and beyond for my 21st birthday and done the room up and made me a cake. They was very friendly and polite and always made an effort to speak to you as you passed them. The food was good especially for free. The location was very good as you had the peace and quiet of an essentially private beach in a quiet area but down the road a 400 baht return taxi ride away was chaweng (central samui) which was very lively and had a lot of resteraunts and bars. Overall a faultless stay and I’d recommend this hotel to anybody.
