I arrive to witness actual construction in the lobby/dining area and missing tiles at the welcome desk. I inquired about how the hotel planned on honoring breakfast and received a clunky response at best. The staff replied, "Oh, I told them (the construction workers) they need to have this job completed well before breakfast." Of course, looking at the destruction, I knew that wasn't going to happen, but I'll get back to that in a bit. I then asked for my complementary water and was basically told l, without viewing my membership, that I didn't rate one. This experience was getting worse by the second. Oh, but there is more. Considering how tired I was, and not up to searching for another location, I reluctantly took the key. I headed to room 112, where outside my door was a large amount of maintenance equipment and what looked like equipment room open and not secured. Mind you, there were children roaming the halls. Still, I decided to tough it out. Around midnight, I'm forced to call the front desk because apparently whoever had the room above me decided that was the best time to practice walking as hard as they possibly could. Of course, nothing happened, but I was able to drift back to sleep. I wake at 5am, the noise above is still happening, so I just get up to shower and prep for the day. The water pressure was weak, but hey, of course it was. I head to the breakfast area, if for nothing else, to see if a construction miracle happened. Nope. Watery eggs, sausage, sawdust, and exposed nails were on the menu. My torn shirt was the victim of the side of a breakfast nail. I go on with the day and return this evening with the front of the hotel still in shambles and even more hazards outside my door, leaving just enough room for me to enter. Thank God I am checking out in the morning. Hopefully, I don't have the heavy speedwalker above me tonight. I am sure there are some things I have left out, but due to this sawdust headache, I'm going to take some medicine and try to sleep. #trash #horribleexperience #dobetter
