Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives

Had an amazing 10 days on Finolhu. Stayed in a water villa which was beautiful, as was the entire island. We spent our mornings on our decking and the afternoons on the beach where we were waited on by the incredible staff who remembered our favourite cocktails. The service throughout is superb and our butler Ikram was super helpful organising restaurants, pick ups and drop offs and keeping us updated on the late arrival of our luggage - due to a late connection in Doha our luggage didn't make it with us but the resort pulled out all the stops and it arrived at our villa at 7pm on our first night. In the meantime they gave us sarongs and t-shirts to change into which was welcome after a long time travelling. We loved all the restaurants but the Crab Shack is super cool and The White party a lot of fun. Finolhu really is a place you can kick back and relax. Beautiful island, amazing people. It's got us hooked on the Maldives as a holiday destination!

From the moment we stepped off the plane, we felt the warmth of Maldivian hospitality. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with open arms and refreshing drinks, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. Our butler, Saju, went above and beyond to cater to our every need. Their exceptional service, combined with the resort's delectable cuisine and engaging kids' club, made our family vacation truly special. The island itself is a picture-perfect postcard. Our villa was immaculate, thanks to the diligent room service team, and the housekeeping staff ensured our space remained spotless throughout our stay. The exceptional service, beautiful environment, and attention to detail make this resort stand out among the rest.

The Finolhu is a truly wonderful place to stay. The service is impeccable, the food varied and delicious and the accommodation spacious and beautifully designed. We stayed in an ocean view villa which included a large sun-deck with a small pool, outdoor shower and sofas. The accommodation is modern, with lovely soft furnishings and the biggest bed I’ve ever slept in (and I have a Super-King at home!). The service is outstanding. From the moment you are met at the airport and whisked through the terminal and onto the sea-plane you know you are in safe hands. Our ‘butler’ Aflaah was brilliant - arranging everything for us (restaurants, trips, immigration forms, etc). He even managed to get our broken suitcase fixed while we were there! The restaurant staff were unfailingly cheerful and very polite and professional. Upul was an excellent sommelier and took great pleasure in helping us with the wine list. Our stand-out moments were dinner at Kanusan (the Japanese restaurant), our snorkelling trip and the White Party at the Crab Shack. Note - take something white to wear as the clothes in the resort shop are staggeringly pricey! All-in-all we felt the all-inclusive package we were on (as opposed to the Premium All-inclusive) was the best value for us. You get to eat at all the different restaurants at least once and there is an extensive array of cocktails and spirits to choose from as well as a decent wine selection. If you want to drink Tattinger champagne every night however then maybe opt for the Premium! The only thing we would have changed was the weather! We didn’t realise that the monsoon now often starts in May, so suffered a couple of days of stormy weather when it was raining and too rough to go in the water. We really hope to be back again soon, this time with the kids in tow (lucky them!!)

Totally recomended, this is heaven! Amazing resort with friendly People and breathtaking views. I wish to come back there soon.

We have just returned from our 7 day holiday in Finolhu seaside Maldives, this has, from being greeted at Male airport by the Finolhu reps to having the superb Nayif escort us as we left for Doha, the nicest week away we can remember. We were greeted off the seaplane and introduced to our butler Aflaah {who was fantastic} and gave us a quick tour of the facilities and took us to our beach villa. The room/ garden were spotless, and were cleaned at least twice a day for the duration of our stay. We arrived on Friday morning which coincided with the White Party taking place that evening {try to bring white clothing with you, although this is not mandatory} This resort has an amazing sandbank where you can stroll to your hearts content, waves breaking in stereo on both sides, there is even a restaurant called Crab Shack at the end, this is where the White Party took place with a great DJ and resident entertainers, NB their fire show on our last night was to be another highlight. We booked this trip to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a day to remember, from having a private beach table under the stars and having our villa most beautifully decorated by a gentleman called Usa. {AMAZING} All snorkeling and non-motorised equipment is complementary. This resort has its own house reef which we got to enjoy on a daily basis. Special praise to Khaleel from the Dive Center who took great care and patience as a guide whilst videoing the two of us as we swam amongst the brightly coloured fish, we even saw sharks and turtles. Too many people to thank but a special mention goes to the wonderful chefs and housekeeping. Beech attendant Bakku,Restaurant staff Upal, Messi, Ricky, Siraj, Azleen, Abhlo, Naabhran, Ameen, Ali. and resident very persuasive sommelier Sashiwin,also Zai and her colleague at the Milk Lab for her bubbly personality and great milk shakes. Lastly a big shout out must be acknowledged to the General Manager Steven Phillips and his friendly and professional management team. They could not have done any more for us. Highly Recommended. This resort exceeded our expectations in every way. We plan to revisit in the near future.
