駐車場に車をとめると、外国人が社内をのぞき込んできた。どうやらお迎えらしい。 荷物をフロントまで運んでもらい、チェックインするが、ここも外国人である。言っていることはわかるが、今どきビジネスホテルでももっと気の利いた対応するのにと思いながらチェックイン。 その後すぐに温泉で汗を流したが、いたって普通の温泉で感動はなし。 食事の時間になり、食事会場に行ったところ、指定の時間は過ぎているのに、従業員が一人もいない。会場が違うのかと思い、フロントに向かいかけたところで、女性が１名かけつけた。話を聞くと、一人で複数の食事会場を掛け持ちしているとのこと。お酒のお替り等は、早めにメモに書いて、テーブルにおいておいてくれという。コロナを言い訳にして、客との接点を減らしたといういいわけで、極端な省力化をしているのであろうか。こんなひどい旅館は初めてである。 料理は、それなりに美味しかったが、支払った対価に見合ったものではなかった。 こんなことなら、ビジネスホテルに泊まって、外で豪華な食事をしたほうがどれだけ満足できたことか。おおいに後悔する。 結局、チェックアウトするまでの見かけた従業員は外国人二人と、食事のお世話の仲居さんの合計３人だけ。
