"Our stay in Morino Sumika was wonderful. This hotel is probably one the best Hotel (Ryokan) We’ve ever stayed in Japan. We are so impressed with their service. The staffs are polite and responsive even though language barrier. We stayed in a room with open air bath type with balcony looking at the slope garden and hotel itself. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. Room are spacious and bigger than we had expected. The room layout is great. We are so amazed with the hotel facility and everything in the hotel that we want to spend much more time at the hotel rather than going out. The hotel is about 5 km away from Kagaonsen Station in the area called Yamashiro Onsen. They offer shuttle service which we contact them via email. Yamashiro Onsen is very nice and calm. FYI… Kagaonsen Station is 20 minutes travel from Kanazawa by Hokuriku Shinkansen… very convenience.."

"It is one of the biggest ryokans we have visited with a lot of amenities. Guests are mostly Japanese..giving a family/retirement village vibes. Our room came with breakfast and dinner plan - food was delicious and very fresh! One thing to note when booking on Trip is that there are many room types available, but the pictures shown are not accurate!! When I booked my room, the pictures showed an in-room onsen tub-lookalike..and the room descriptions seem to support it too, along with the price. However, when I arrived, the room I was given was not like the pics at all..with no private tub/onsen in the room. We really wanted a private onsen to end our trip on a high, but we were left disappointed. Could not help but feel slightly cheated. We wanted to pay for an upgrade,to get one with in-room onsen but were told all were fully booked.:( so be careful when booking your desired room type."

"Dinner and breakfast were very luxurious and delicious. However, regarding the faucet of the bath, there was a faucet with a broken temperature control, and the temperature could not be adjusted, and very hot water came out, which was difficult."

"The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Kaga Onsen Station, a 20-minute ride away. Pick-up times are between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and drop-off times are between 9:00 AM and 12:00 AM (I might be mistaken). It runs every hour, and you can ask Ctrip customer service for reservations. This is the hotel I chose after much deliberation. It has its own private bath in each room, as well as four free private baths with scheduled times and a paid sauna. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel is right by Tsurusen Creek, but it rained both days we were there, preventing us from taking a stroll. As for food, aside from the set main courses (black throat fish, sashimi, and beef sukiyaki), all the side dishes are self-service, which certainly saves on food, but the experience isn't as good. My parents loved it, but it's a shame we didn't have a lot of fun."
