KSL hotel room is spacious and well lit. Beds were comfortable too. Toilet were good with sufficient toiletries. Location of the hotel is best. We get to watch late night movie after dinner and massage. Easy to get supper too. Ample carparks and sufficient mix of shops to settle groceries, food, facials, massage etc.

Capri is just directly behind the custom and there was a massive jam just to drive to the hotel. Just a 5 mins drive took me 1hr plus to turn to the hotel. The carpark is a maze. Even with directions, you would be confused. The room was clean just that that's a pungent smell in the toilet - literally a smell of a baby spoiled diapers in Room 1001. Feedback upon checked out. Hope they do something to it. There isn't anything to eat, so you will have to drive out to eat each time. Unless you don't mind the cafeteria downstairs. Otherwise be prepared to hit the jam over and over again. Highly likely will not stay over at Capri again due to the location.

Starting from The efficient thing check in/check out process.All Hotel staff are very friendly,accommodating helpful, approachable, attentive and always going extra miles. We appreciated it thank you so much . The hotel room had a relaxing and comfortable vibes. Very clean spacious for 3 of us and homy feeling and stunning view. Fives Hotel Meldrum is a newly opened property in October 2023. It is 850m by walk from Johor Bahru Customs. To get to the hotel, you would need to use the link bridge near the customs that leads to R&F Mall. Just before reaching the mall, head down from the bridge and walk towards the direction of Grand Blue Wave Hotel (GBW). The property is located beside the back of GBW. A 24hrs security personnel is stationed at the main entrance of the hotel. Upon my arrival, the Front Desk Staff had requested a RM200 deposit for my check in registration. The rooms are situated from the first to ten floors. There is no fourth level in this building. I was accommodated in a Standard Queen Room (No. 311). Although the room offers a window, it faces the wall of a building. There is an ongoing construction site located beside the hotel, which I perceived to last for another year or more. Unfortunately, the construction noise is audible which only ended at 10pm during my weekday stay. I later approached the Night Manager and paid a RM40 upgrade to stay in a Standard King Room with no window (No. 308). There is no noise as this room is located in the middle section of the building. Local, Singapore TV and Malaysian radio station channels are available for entertainment in the room. The SMART TV also offers Netflix and YouTube. There are two USB charging ports and three power sockets for your mobile device charging needs. The air-conditioner functions well and keeps the room cool. Shower gel, shampoo with conditioner, toothbrush and paste are provided. The shower head is fixed to the bathroom wall. I found the water pressure to be acceptable, but the temperature is lukewarm. A-lar carte breakfast is offered at RM25 per person, though I did not consume my breakfast at the property. Nearby the hotel, there are several coffeeshops located behind a public carpark that serve breakfast. Among them is Restoran Ah Bee Bak Kut Teh (Pork Ribs Soup) which is a popular eatery among the locals. There are also convenience stores and halal eateries located within walking distance from the hotel. Connoisseur Food Generation, a trendy food court is situated a 5-min walk from the hotel. This place has many food stalls that offer a wide variety of cuisine. There is also live band during my dining there. Whilst the location may not be perfect, Fives Hotel Meldrum is great for those who are seeking something new and an affordable stay in Johor Bahru.

Very very good! This unit exceeded our expectation! My photos taken after our stay, sorry it doesn’t do much justice because my young kids didn’t have the chance to take photos upon arrival. The Good: - Very clean!! No insects. - Renovations like hotel! - Smells good. - Towel provided good quality and clean - Provided disposable toothbrush, shower cap, comb, slippers and shaver like hotel standard. - Provided 6 bottles of bottled water - Cold aircon - Clean bedding - Nice and peaceful view - Good security - Blackout curtains - Very responsive service, just WhatsApp and will respond almost immediately and it’s 24/7 on standby. - Allowed early check in For improvement: - pillows too soft, the adults including myself woke up with some stiff neck. - Security abit troublesome but is needed. - Mobile reception for my Malaysia line is very very weak but can detect and use my Singapore line instead. - Very weak wifi in the room when doors are close, can’t load videos. Overall I love it and will return. Just hope they’ll improve on pillows.

The room was not fully cleaned up on entering the room at 7pm, and they forgot to give us keys to lock the room door but it was a 2 room unit with a shared main entrance so we had to request for keys at night to lock the door safely for the next few days. We checked in with the owner in the afternoon but the jam coming in was very bad so we had to rush off for our appointments. The check in process was clumsy and they insisted on taking our passport photos that Anju didn't require and a RM200 deposit that was only returned upon check out. The owner didn't register our car to the parking lot and we were stuck at the carpark for a few minutes while we tried to exit the carpark for supper. There was puke on the shower wall, hand prints on the mirror, and dots of puke in the toilet & sink. So I did some scrubbing to make it liveable since we're staying for 3 days. The coffee table also had hair and dandruff from previous user so it wasn't wiped down after use. The bed is nice and firm, I actually had a good night sleep on the bed as compared to the lousier beds at Anju. Unit provided us with cutleries, cookware and utensils and working washing machine which we utilised. Checking out was Abit messy because we cannot handover the keys and the carpark access card before leaving the carpark and 1 told us to handover at level 8 while the staff suddenly turned up at our door at 11.45am while we were still packing up. In the end we agreed to checkout at the carpark exit.. Price wise between YJYQ & ANJU, I would say YJYQ is more pocket friendly. And when I were to bring my family over for holiday, I would book YJYQ for the 2 bedroom join units. We also received a small door gift. 😀 Overall I personally like staying at R&F.

This place was better than we expected. It accomodated the needs and wants of my family and we had a truly enjoyable time. The rooms were wonderfully furnished and clean. Will definitely book again and recommend to others!

A cheap and clean hotel, easy to get to and has plenty of parking. Not far to Johor Bahru city center and Sultanah Aminah Hospital. Restaurants are also plentiful in this area including a 24-hour convenience store. To get to Larkin Public Transport Terminal and Urban Forest Recreation Center is also close. The room price is also reasonable and stay here once

My family and I have been stayed in pulai springs for many times. We enjoy the swimming pool so much because it is big. However the pool that has slide was not clean enough. Actually the hotel generally look good externally and internally, but sadly the room, if you really look into it, can see that they should put effort to maintain the rooms. the toilets need to undergo major cleaning. There were stains on the walls, floor, basins and toilet bowls. Some areas of the rooms floor were dusty. The wall decorations were dusty too. The sofas really need new cover. Mostly torn and stained. The breakfast buffet spread was tasty this time. Last time i came it was not delish. Hope they consistently prepare delicious foods. The construction along the pulai springs entrance was quite disturbing. The dust and the uneven road surface might affect or damage visitors' vehicles. The staffs there were friendly and helpful too.
