The Leverage Business Hotel (Skudai)

My second stayed here and breakfast is included if booked directly online. The receptionist and staff are helpful and friendly. The facilities are very complete. Room as per picture .. fast check in/out. Bed are very comfortable. Everything is worth and nice. 24-hrs Indian Muslim food just opposite the hotel. Perfect location. Nearby to Paradigm Mall & Sutera Mall JB. 5 stars facilities with 2 stars price. The room is cosy and very clean. Parking is limited but easy to find behind or surrounding the hotel. A decent buffet style breakfast consists of noodles/nasi lemak, sausages, nuggets, bread with jam & butter, half-boiled eggs, juices, coffee & tea. Better than what I expected. Definitely will stay in this hotel again for my next business trip here! I will return to this hotel for future stay. The location of the hotel is superb, just a ten minute walk away bars and restaurants a plenty, what makes it so special is the way they make you feel very welcome, from cleaning staff, and receptionists a really great team. However, you would be able to hear noise from the street. If you are sensitive to noise or prefer soundproof, suggest to booked the windowless room.

We stayed at this hotel for a quick transit before going out to Legoland. The family room is looks new, modern furnished, and spacious enough for our family of 5 (2 adult, 3 children). It is quite far from the JB city center, but really close to Legoland (5-10 min taxi ride) and also the SG-JB 2nd Link. There are some supermarket arround the hotel and for breakfast, a delicious Nasi Lemak is just arround the corner. Very recommended hotel.

Bilik biasa je. Takde space utk solat. Sempit. Kena amik bilik besar. taksesuai utk 4 org. Masa cek out, bagus.

City center of Johor Bahru
We been here for few times. This time when we checked in, we met Receptionist name, Ms Nor Ashikin. She's grumpy, not friendly and has no eye contact. When we ask questions she didn't give eye contact. We wanna to inform her that we book 2 different booking, one with Trip.com and the other booking is directly to the hotel, due to rooms available at trip.com. Through our explanation, she didn't give us any eye contact. We have to ask again what we need to do. With her eyes looking at the screen, she told us tomorrow come down again with the key. That's all, so the next day we meet Ms Natasha, she was so friendly and helpful. We found out that Ms Nor Ashikin missed out our requirements. Ms Natasha helped us up. For Ms Natasha I will give 5 star but for Nor Ashikin, I'll give one star. Overall we love our stay here and will definitely come back but we hope we won't come across Ms Nor Ashikin. Not only to us, she was very hostile towards other guests too. The management needs to do something about her hostile attitude towards the Guest especially.

Johor Bahru Business Hotel Guide

Introduction to Johor

Johor, Malaysia's southernmost state, known for its vibrant cities, pristine nature, and unique cultural heritage. Just a causeway away from Singapore, Johor offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from exciting theme parks and historic sites to delectable local cuisine. As one of the fastest-growing states in Malaysia, Johor is a reflection of modern progression whilst preserving its cultural roots.

Tips about Travelling to Johor

Senai International Airport serves as the main gateway to Johor, with direct flights from various parts of Asia. For travellers from Singapore, the Causeway Link bus service offers a convenient way to cross the border.

Malaysia's official currency, the Ringgit, is used in Johor, with credit cards accepted in most establishments. Bahasa Malaysia is the official language, but English is widely spoken, particularly in urban and tourist areas.

Always check with the nearest Malaysian embassy or consulate for visa requirements. Many countries are granted visa-free entry for tourism purposes.

Johor is a predominantly Muslim state; thus, modest attire is recommended, particularly when visiting religious or cultural sites.

Popular Attractions in Johor

Johor is home to the famous Legoland Malaysia Resort, a must-visit for families. For a slice of history, the Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple and Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque offer a fascinating look into the state's diverse religious practices. Nature lovers will enjoy the beauty of Endau-Rompin National Park, while foodies should not miss exploring Johor Bahru's street food scene.

Weather and Best Time to Visit

Johor experiences a tropical rainforest climate, with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 32°C all year round. The monsoon season from November to February brings more rain, making the driest period from June to August the most favourable time to visit. Lightweight clothing, a raincoat or umbrella, and comfortable shoes are recommended for your visit.

Choosing the Right Hotel in Johor

Choosing a hotel in Johor depends on your needs. For proximity to attractions, consider staying at Legoland Malaysia Hotel. Food enthusiasts might prefer a stay at Amari Johor Bahru, situated near famous eateries.

To stay near the airport, consider Le Grandeur Palm Resort Johor. For a touch of luxury, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Johor Bahru offers upscale accommodation. Budget-conscious travellers might appreciate the Bliss Boutique Hotel, while business travellers could opt for the Thistle Johor Bahru, located near the business district.
