Kadikoy Istanbul|1.05km from Moda Sea Club 1935
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, could not have asked for better. The staff took good care of us, all were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a view of the Sea of Marmara, Kadikoy, Harem station and the European side including Topkapi palace. - simply fantastic. The room was clean, and practical and large enough for three adults to move around comfortably. The beds were comfortable and suitable for our very tall family! The pool on the roof was small (there’s also a larger indoor pool), but a welcoming feature to allow you to unwind after a long day of sight seeing or just to spend some time sunbathing and cooling off (again, the views were amazing). Breakfast was excellent, everything you could possibly want was on offer, but I have to say that the omelettes needed a little work, they were on the dry side. Other than that all the food was top quality. The location is probably the best part about this hotel, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the European side, but has excellent access to the metro, taxis, ferries, buses, dolmus’s and even a tram. You can be in the thick of sight seeing in a matter of 15-20 minutes by ferry! The price was also reasonable, so much so that there is little point in staying at the more expensive hotels on the European side - it just makes sense to stay here! Overall, loved this hotel and hopefully will be staying here again. Thanks DT Hilton team for making our stay a great one.

The location is great!! The restaurant bars very close to everywhere, the street is a historic building, but newly built interior furniture was very elegant our room was very clear to the historic peninsula all electrical equipment was working the bed was very comfortable ❤️ staff We wanted a nice green cafe gardens on the back of the rosary, ready for help. We wanted a nice breakfast. We wanted a good breakfast. It's all warm and it's very delicious. It's a business that you'll prefer to be in fashion for the first time you come to fashion like us.

Rooms with seaview have a very good scenery. Well decorated and clevely designed for both staying and studying purposes. Although other guests complained about poor breakfast, if you are staying for Saturday your Sunday breakfast will be fantastic since they are preparing breakfast for customers coming for Sunday Brunch while it is free to hotel guests The hotel is very near to Yogurtcu Park by the seafront. You can enjoy a nice walk to center of Moda. From Moda a short trip will bring you to Bahariye caddesi and Kadıkoy where you can enjoy and experience the Anatolian side of Istanbul which is vibrant at this time of the year.

Moda Drei was fine for a few days. The dorm was nice and large with great AC, and the lockers are huge, really good (although their electronic locks beep loudly whenever locked or unlocked which isn’t great if the room is asleep). The beds have lovely big shelves with reading lights and a power point, and privacy curtains. The WiFi is decent, not consistent but generally fine. There are some very cute cats that live there, which I loved, although some may not be so keen on this. I have to say other than this, I felt generally underwhelmed/disappointed with this place, and don’t understand all the glowing reviews for it. I feel like the way it’s advertised (from their photos/online blurb they want to be seen as a chic concept hostel/workspace environment), vs. what it actually is, is quite different. Covid probably hit these guys hard which is sad, and when they opened a few years back this place probably was very modern and cool, but right now it’s pretty dirty and messy and has more of a student house vibe (after a house party…). The walls, stairs and doors everywhere are grotty, the common areas are small and dishevelled with big stains on most of the upholstery, and the small kitchen is usually in a gross state, really filthy, with a fridge too small for the amount of people staying and nowhere else to store dry food. No paper towels or anything in the toilets to dry your hands, and nowhere in the showers to put your stuff or hang your clothes properly. The toilets were the worst - two for each floor, always dirty and disgusting, some with broken toilet seats, some with locks so old and worn they jam (I had to help free someone stuck inside on one occasion). The place is run by volunteers (other travellers) who live there, and it shows - a proper staff and cleaners would probably keep the place in a much better state. The volunteers are generally lovely, one or two give off a very weird vibe though (the guy with the dreads in his beard). The location itself is OK, it’s technically in Kadikoy and there is a cool coffee shop or two and supermarket nearby, but most stuff of interest, as well as the ferry and bus terminals, are a 15/20 minute walk away. The street itself is a building site, the entire building next door is just a concrete shell with builders and drills working from 9am everyday which doesn’t make for a fun waking up experience. The vibe at the hostel is also quite dull, a mix of slightly aloof digital nomads and solo travellers, and there are also no social activities from what I could see. Overall while I wouldn’t return, I wouldn’t dissuade others from coming as it may be more to others’ tastes than mine, and wish these guys all the best. The hostel is fine for short stays, but there are probably others that are much better in Istanbul.

The hotel's living location was very good, but it was not disturbing for me tonight. I had problems in the bathroom, especially with the unfunctioning shower, which is clearly incorrectly mounted and full of calcium, which has caused the water to run very weak, So I always met my body on the armary. Heat water was not even quick, it could only clear the 2nd day, the 3rd day the same problem. Despite my communication, the hotel staff seemed little helpful about the problems. No adjustment option for shower gel, no hanger for towels nearby. Fön has not worked either. Light to make it is definitely not enough. The Wi-Fi connection was initially unstable, improved after my communication, but the second day again problematic. TVs are only Turkish and a few Arab channels, no youtube, etc. The room was smart, as on the pictures. We had the ”balcony” where only one chair fits :))) my partner could not sit on it. The walls are quite thin, so that one is disturbed by a neighbor at night. Most of all, this has annoyed us: if we or the neighbor, You had to go to the bathroom and lights have turned on, a noisy comes to crack! Within the night you can get very scared!
