Wyndham Istanbul Old City

Laleli Istanbul|1.46km from Haseki Sultan Cami
We stayed there last week of August 22 and encountered a number of issues. Firstly, our room wasn't ready the first night and we were given to separate rooms which split our family up. I wasn't happy about this but we had no choice. What was alarming that during our stay, I observed atleast 5 other families having similar issue as you can't help not noticing people complaining when you walk past reception. I think this is a scam by the hotel as they encourage the booking, take the money then the first night you not in the room you paid for. Also the photos on booking.com is a complete lie. The room we stayed in did not look anything like what was portrayed on the site. We booked two double beds but one of them is a sofa bed! Not comfortable and we did raise this but hotel couldn't care less. They couldn't offer us another room so we had no choice to accept it. Moving on, the stay itself was pleasant enough. Breakfast was decent (but orange juice is cordial!), swimming pools sauna steam rooms were great. There is also a huge jacuzzi bath which was nice. Hotel is located 10 mins walk to grand bazaar and 5 mins walk to nearest tram. Cleanliness is poor. I would rate 2 out of 5. Cleaner was in and out like a flash. Didn't do floor etc. I looked under bed and dust has been collecting for months and not cleaned. Overall ok hotel but expensive for the service we encountered. Would I return? Probably not unless hotel can improve its cleanliness and customer service. I should have been offered some sort of refund for the first night and the sofa bed.

Simple, no frills hotel BUT you don't need anything more in Istanbul, trust me you will be outdoors for as long as you can be! Amazing beautiful place of the world - x3 trips in an 8 month period! :) Prior to this I have stayed in various locations and have realised that this by far is the perfect place to stay then anywhere else. DO NOT stay in Sultanahmet unless you plan to get a knee replacement after it ! ;) Food is good around here, transport is excellent, carfour is next door, friday market it literally beside this hotel... so much more. Emir at reception is my go to man for everything, he really is a great example of hospitality and excellent care. He was at hand for us whenever we needed day or night.

My special Thank You message for the cleaning lady Serife, who really took care of the room with 100% satisfaction.

Anka Grand Hotel The location is superb, and going out to the right is less than 50 meters is the light rail station. There are also a small supermarket next to the hotel and a lot of convenience stores. We have a room in a certain time, with a credit card guarantee, it is super convenient to pay at the store. Because it is in a bustling area, the price will be relatively higher. The interior of the hotel is a bit old and the facilities are old, but they are very clean and tidy. The hotel waiter helped us to take the baggage upstairs, although our Turkey thought that there was no tip, but we still gave 10 liras.

Excellent city hotel, its location is perfect for going to the center, is close to buses, the metro. Although we choose to go walking and meet , 30 minutes from the Santa Sofia, the big basar etc. The rooms are small but very comfortable, they re-stop the water, leave everything necessary, soaps, paper, tea etc, excellent cleaning, The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. I recommend it 100%
