The resort is beautiful in terms of the location, room size and view of the ocean and scenic drive from Durban. Access to the beach is super easy and the beach itself is heavenly. The resort is easy to get around and the two swimming pools are great for the kids and adults. However, the resort has many problems that need to be resolved urgently as these problems adversely impact a holiday makers basic need for rest and relaxation. There was power outages at least 5 times a day which is why there is a gas braai on the verandah of every unit. The shower has no pressure and the hot water is intermittent so my son had cold showers which wasn't too bad due to the summer heat. The service at the restaurant is the worst I have experienced and I suppose that's because there is only 5 people to attend to bartending and taking care of restaurant patrons, not to mention the power outages making certain menu items unavailable. The cleaners do not clean the rooms, they dont even use any detergents when cleaning, its superficial wiping and tidying up. All in all, the establishment is pretty because of the natural surroundings however I wont be returning or recommending this establishment.

We always come there every winter and had never got such great friendly and lovely waitron pouring all his heart out to us. We really had a great stay for our honeymoon such an excellent service we had from Pablo Escobar. Lol we laughed off when we heard that name in africa. Thanks to your great staff as a whole especially Pablo we'll be back because of him. Lamontagne for life.

We stayed at the Capital Zimbali for 3 nights over New Years Eve to have a bit of a break before the new year. The hotel is located in a lovely area near the airport. It is also located in a forest which is so nice especially with ocean views. The rooms are nice but a little dated. The shower and bathroom needs some care as they have been over used and need some grout cleaning. The hotel facilities are lovely and the staff are amazing. The food in the restaurant has a nice variety but if you are expecting gourmet I would go to the Oyster Box in Umhlanga as the restaurant buffet is mainly catered to families with kids. The spa facilities are really nice where they have an outdoor relaxation area just for adults! You can enjoy a massage and just chill by the pool with a cocktail after. I recommend this hotel if you are a couple looking for a short stay but I think any longer would be hard with the large volume of families staying, so peace and quiet is rare.

Really decent accommodation. 6 sleeper was perfect for our 5 member family. S jäh court was an u expected bonus and we forgot our binoculars, so the lookout with the telescope was a welcomed facility for us for dolphin watching. All round a great family vacation accommodation. Quirky fun fact is that there velvet monkeys you will encounter at least once a day, just don’t feed them otherwise they’ll never leave you alone!
