AAnonymous UserI stayed at this youth hostel in Hobart for four days to give you some reference.
1. The landlord will thoughtfully send check-in information to your email before check-in. It is very convenient to check in unattended, which is very suitable for i people. Moreover, the landlord here is Chinese and there is no language barrier.
2. This youth hostel has only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers with 41 beds. During my stay, there was only 1 washing machine (one of the washing machines was broken and the washing machine usage time was limited). Although it is not completely impossible to wash clothes, But I need to find every opportunity to do laundry. We all live in a youth hostel, so I can overcome this difficulty, and then! I found that the dryer won't dry my clothes! Because I couldn't wash my clothes, I washed them in the bathroom one day and put them in the dryer. They didn't dry for two hours. Once I put the clothes in the washing machine for washing. Time was tight. It took 30 minutes to dry two clothes, but one was not dry. Reminder: Try to bring as many sets as possible to change. If the clothes are not dry enough and will stay longer, you can hang them by the bed and dry them overnight. Also, the laundry detergent of the youth hostel is on a grid-like shelf after entering the lobby. Don’t be like me and only found the laundry detergent on the last day after staying for four days! 😭
3. The hygiene condition of the youth hostel is much better than that of many youth hostels. In particular, the bedding and towels are very clean and the sleeping environment is very comfortable. Everyone will try their best to maintain a quiet sleeping environment. The hygiene level of toilets and shower rooms is tolerable. The hall was also very clean and bright, and I personally saw that every public water cup was wiped.
4. The staff at the youth hostel were very slow in replenishing shampoo, shower gel, and hand sanitizer. I think girls use these a lot, so they should at least check whether they are sufficient every day. But the staff may only visit once every two or three days. There are two girls' bathrooms. Except for the shower gel and shampoo on the first day, there is no shampoo in the first cubicle on the second day, and there is no shower gel in the second cubicle on the third day. On the fourth day, I studied Be smart, check if both sides are there before taking a shower, and then! The first stall had nothing and the second stall had no shower gel. Moreover, the hand sanitizer in the girls' restroom has been out since the third day, and it was not replenished on the fourth day. 😓
5. In terms of safety, it is still okay. At least if you put the bag in the aisle, no one will take it at will, and the food in the refrigerator will not be taken away at will. At least my Cheerilee was safe there for three days. but! I don’t understand why there are boys in the hotel I booked in the girls’ area for two nights! Although most of them are girls, why are there one or two boys? I think this is an oversight by the hotel, but the boys didn't cause much trouble to my sleep, so I didn't complain. I hope this aspect needs to be improved. p.s. I heard other residents, girls and boys, reminding me that this is a girls’ area, but the boy didn’t know what he said and couldn’t hear clearly, so he checked in!
6. This hotel does not have a late check-out service, but Ctrip marked that you can have a late check-out at 2 o'clock in the local area and an early check-in of 4 hours (I don't know if the early check-in service exists), so I used some points to redeem the service. Later, It was time to clean at 10 o'clock in the morning. I went out to play for a while and wanted to come back and take a nap before leaving. I asked the hotel cleaning staff and they said that there was no such service and the room had been cleaned at 10 o'clock. I reported this problem to Ctrip, and Ctrip quickly handled it for me and ended the problem by compensating me part of the amount. But if you haven't gone to the airport yet, you can store your luggage in the hotel. From my current point of view, it's very safe.
7. The lobby of the youth hostel has normal sockets in Australia, and the sleeping area only has USB plugs, so you can bring a USB plug for convenient charging, which is quite fast. Also remember to bring a mouthwash cup, toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers.
Have a nice trip everyone.
