The hotel is very close to Higashiyama subway station, and is also close to **** and the National Museum of Art. After visiting these two attractions, I walked to Nanzenji Temple, Shoren-in Temple, Chion-ji Temple, Kodai-ji Temple, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple Museum. It was very efficient to walk for a day.
The hotel is very new, clean and quiet. The room is not big, but it is enough for two people with not much luggage. The service is good and you can pick up toiletries on demand.

If you don't mind walking, you can walk to Chion-in Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Gion, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and I think it's in a good location for exploring the surrounding area. It's also right next to Higashiyama Station, so transportation is very convenient. The room wasn't big, but it was clean and comfortable, and it was comfortable enough for just sleeping!
