The location of the hotel is very good, next to the sea, there is a beach Free security at the entrance of the parking lot. There are supermarkets around. Pay attention to the business hours. When we arrived, it was Sunday and most shops were closed. The room is clean, but the washbasin is separated from the hot and cold water. I'm not used to it~ If you don't care about the money, it's better to book a balcony with a sea view The breakfast selection is also very rich. We stayed for 3 nights. I paid in full in advance, but when we arrived at the hotel, I was told I still owe double the amount that I fully paid which I refused to do. After further discussion and waiting time, it was sorted out eventually and we could get our room key. Breakfast was good every morning, but the food at their day/evening restaurant is really not great at all. Tried pizzas and the chicken schnitzel there and it was just chewy and bland. The room was of good size, clean and had a nice view. Good size pool to enjoy, but it was hot and there were no umbrellas put up for the chairs by the pool. I asked reception if they can put some up, but they said they will check if they have but never got back to me or put any up! The vending machine at reception also had a problem and we had to drive to get cold drinks for the kids and something for the room. The beach bar below plays very loud music till midnight, and I could not get to sleep each night before the loud music ended.

Dutton’s Cove – Herold’s Bay (3 July) What an absolute GEM of a place! Dutton Cove is located south of George, nestled on the hillside in Herolds Bay overlooking the ocean.. we loved our stay! Correen is an amazing host – friendly, professional, and very accommodating. The rooms all have sea views, crisp & fresh beach décor, an outdoor patio as well as a small lounge area. The food at Dutton Cove Restaurant was a highlight! Great atmosphere, lovely décor, a kids play area, spectacular views over the ocean and the best food we had eaten all holiday! The beach is 5 minutes drive away and there are also some fantastic ocean cliff walks nearby.. If you are looking for a place to unwind, have fun, reconnect with the family or friends in a breath taking setting - look no further!
