The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka

I've been to Fukuoka multiple times and previously stayed at other establishments that simply cannot match the Ritz. Got a king room for my honeymoon. Really appreciate Sanjay and rest of staff making us feel very appreciated from check-in until departure. The level of attentiveness was impressive, and people here speak good English. Location is quite good, close to metro/bus stops, Ohori park, and plenty of eateries/shopping/yatai's. Room is as modern as you'd expect. Bed and bathroom are very comfortable - other hotels are going to struggle to match this level of sophistication. I really appreciated the amount of space vs the typical Japanese hotel. Great amount of amenities. Minor suggestions for improvement - in-room snacks - we got the impression that several of the snacks were complimentary. After we checked out, we discovered that they were not, an unpleasant surprise. Some better communication here would be valuable. Late check out - as an Elite member at check-in we were told that late check out would be offered. However, on the day of I discovered that I still had to call to ask for late check out, and then I had to wait a bit until they called back to confirm. The small details matter in delivering a flawless experience. Still, these are relatively minor things and overall we were very satisfied with our stay. On our next stay to lovely Fukuoka we'd definitely only stay here. Book it, you won't regret it.

There was a female dormitory and I was relieved. There was a card key at the entrance. The sleeping room used the space which was 2 steps. It had a small lighting, a outlet, and a simple keyed safe. It seemed that the lock was locked in two ways: the method of pressing the button (number) and the key, but there was no way to lock the button anywhere, so I didn't know how to use it, and I used only the person who turned the key. There were 2 toilets and 2 shower rooms. Overall it was very clean and very good! The receptionist was very impressed. I wanted to use it again!

I've been disturbing you for the pre-opening. A guest house that has been renovated from an old folk house that has been built for 100 years. It was a really nice space where you could drink beer on the porch and watch the home theater in a shared space. The bed mat also uses a special order that does not sound, so even in the dormitory, I was able to sleep with peace of mind without worrying about other customers. You can enjoy the atmosphere of an old folk house chillhop that is more at home than the hiive of the affiliated store.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel is new and clean. The reception is located near Hakata Station with free flow of beer and other drinks. To go to hotel from reception will need about 25min walk. The best is to use the bus. The nearest train station in this case is the subway about 15min walk from the hotel. I would suggest you get a Fukuoka bus pass if plan to stay here as bus stops are nearer. The bus timing is not as on time as train but overall is consistent. There are two convenient stores nearby, 6-12min walk. Hotel have 2 paying parking lots. Drinks vending machine and microwave oven in the lobby. In the room is complete with usual amenities. There is no one coming to clean your room for the period of your stay hence the drinking water will not be restock. You could either buy from vending machine or cook your own or drink from tap. Checking out is simple. Just drop your key into the check out box near the exit.

We booked two rooms for a long stay, 20 days for the World Aquatics championships. The rooms were very reasonable sized for being in Japan. Bathroom and toilet ok. Beds quite big, We had Microwave, fridge, a good set of tools. Washing sink big. Not much space for clothes. A/C working well. Unattended hotel. All is made via messages, contact with management only via tablet on the room wall. BEWARE: On international chains (***********, for istance) does not explain that the room is not serviced. We had to fight a lot to obtain cleaning and room tending once every three days. This seems to be common in mediumlow range in Japan, but not for westerners. In general, I think it was good value for money, but the issue of rooms cleaning must be more evident when booking.

There is a hotel called Casane Bayside in the immediate vicinity, and this one was overwhelmingly better compared. By the way, the choice of dinner is quite narrow and troublesome. The situation is completely different from around Nakasu, and many shops close early. If there are few shops where you can drink, there are no famous shops that are so delicious in the first place. There is only one reasonably delicious izakaya nearest. It closes early, but the sushi buffet near the tower is quite delicious for the price. The Sri Lanka curry for breakfast is a sweet coconut curry that is completely different from the standard Sri Lanka curry genre, but it was delicious. It's completely different from the Sri Lankan curry I ate in Sri Lanka, and it's completely different from the Sri Lankan curry in Japan, but it's said that it's a curry made by Sri Lankan people. I'm glad you started breakfast a little earlier. I'm glad you can take out only drinks.
