Golden City Hotel

I arrived after 10 PM, and all the staff had their heads down, seemingly busy, so no one greeted me. However, once I approached them and stated my request, check-in was very quick. The room facilities are quite old, and as soon as I entered, I could feel it was very damp, despite it being sunny the day before and after my stay. Outside the window was a huge fan-like device that, accompanied by the sound of a water pool, rumbled and splashed all night long. The best part was the restaurant on the second floor; it's not affiliated with Jincheng, but their dim sum was exceptionally delicious. I personally think it's even better than Tao Tao Ju.

It's just an average hotel, given the price point. More money definitely gets you better conditions, less money gets you worse – that's just how it is.

Booked this hotel for a trip to Foshan with the kids. The location is excellent, really close to Lingnan Tiandi, within walking distance. However, the facilities are a bit dated. The elevator in the car park only goes to the first basement level, so carrying luggage up the stairs was a bit inconvenient. The room amenities are also quite old, and the bedding felt a bit damp. On the bright side, the kids' amenities in the family room were comprehensive, and they did a great job with the details.

I'd never been to Foshan before, so I made a special trip to see it before the holidays. This place is bustling and already has a Spring Festival atmosphere. I was a bit nervous about choosing a hotel, even bringing my own disposable sheets. Since I booked early, the price was great, and I opted for the lowest rate as it's a long trip and I need to keep costs down. I chose this location because it's right across from the old Fobin Hotel, making the location excellent and with plenty of parking. The facilities are a bit dated, but honestly, despite their age, the materials they used were good quality. The shower pressure was strong, and the bed was very comfortable. It's super convenient to walk to Zumiao Temple, and you can even walk to popular restaurants after getting your queue number. I really love that the food here isn't expensive, and the morning tea was fantastic. I had a great meal before leaving. I even forgot a piece of clothing, and the staff helped me courier it back. The celebrity photos on the wall show the hotel's glorious past. I truly recommend this location; everyone from the front desk to the cleaning staff was lovely. The restaurant has so many beautiful dendrobium flowers. When I initially chose to visit, some people mentioned Foshan was wealthy and fun, and it turns out there's indeed plenty of good food and fun things to do here.

The room has an old-fashioned charm, very much like a five-star hotel from the early days of China's reform and opening up. Facilities: Complete and stylish. Cleanliness: Very good, quite clean. Environment: Simply purr-fect! Service: Quite unique, hahaha, with fluent Cantonese.

It's incredible that you can stay in such a nice room for just over a hundred yuan! This hotel is an old four-star, I believe. The location is convenient; you can walk to the Ancestral Temple to see the Huang Feihong lion dance. Plus, you get a discount on dim sum upstairs at the hotel.
