Regular guests here at this hotel, if we have to visit Essen, we book directly at Ramada without ever considering another hotel. Today, we tried to book again through ***********, only to find out that an employee has blocked our email address (blacklisted us) from booking in the future, we were sure that this was a mistake and *********** also didn't understand the reason. The manager finally called us back and said, that the receptionist in December was the one who marked us because the way we've behaved (angrily). We finally remembered, that indeed there was an incident where the receptionist "charged us twice for the parking" first during check-in and also during the checkout. During the checkout, I told him that I've kept your receipt of the parking payment and showed it to him, he saw it and denied it as according to him (the receipt was for a payment made 15 minutes before time we've checked in), to make the matter worse he asked to see my bank account in my phone, strange request but ok I've showed him, then he asked he wanted to print my bank statement from my banking app, which he did (no respect for guests privacy), finally I told him that we come here a lot and we don't want problems (we tried to calm him down while he was only escalating). The manager response on the phone today was that we were drunk, another false accusation added, how would we be drunk during checkout while he had still to drive back to NL. Conclusion, as regular guests, we had to double pay for the parking ticket of our whole stay, blacklisted for showing the receipt and accused of drunk when the manager had nothing to say, while a simple excuse would have been enough. Of course I've cancelled directly today our coming stay at this hotel and booked at NH-Hotel instead. Advice: avoid booking here, very rude manager Boris and rude employees (the only exception is the receptionist with red hair who is always professional and helpful).
