East Northamptonshire District Hotels & Accommodations

All the rooms I've stayed in over the number of weeks I've been working away have been clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything. However, one member of staff called Les goes above and beyond his duties which is greatly appreciated. Les quickly noticed during my first stay that on a morning I have 3 heavy boxes containing work equipment that I have to take to take too and from work. Les took it upon himself to remember the time I leave for work so gets ready to open the doors in advance and helps me carry my boxes to my van. He is such a friendly man who obviously takes pride in his job and always puts the customers first. It’s my pleasure to have met all the staff but Les in particular. In my opinion Les should be the first in line for any promotions on offer at the travel lodge.

It is first class in every aspect. Definitely the best value hotel accommodation that I have ever had, anywhere in the world. I recommend The Talbot unreservedly. Very well done I can't think what other superlatives to use. It's very, very good Daniel D G Brunton

Staff are lovely. Very helpful. Room as always spotless with good quality firm beds and fresh soft towels. Also good that there is a Burger King, Greggs and subway on site, which helps with food options and you do not have to get a takeaway delivered.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, it was a convenient location as I was visiting the area nearby. The hotel is outside of the town centre but that wasn't an issue for me, there is a pub located right next door if you prefer to go out for a drink or some food. I didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but I did have breakfast which was good. The mattress was a little uncomfortable for me but I have back problems so others may not have an issue. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again when in the area.

One night stop off for a work trip. The hotel was more spacious than I was expecting and there was ample parking available. The room was very clean and provided all the required things you would need. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the TV did not work in my room, but I was too tired to go down to reception and ask, and it wasn't a big issue really as the hotel in itself is lovely.

We found this Holiday Inn to be a great base for local attractions, being between Corby and Kettering and close to Rutland. The bedroom was newly decorated with new furnishings. The whole hotel is being renovated and is looking good. Comfortable bed, nice dressing table/desk area and good amount of lighting. The bathroom was very clean and had soft fluffy towels and nice toiletries. All the public rooms are clean and comfortable. We ate one night in the restaurant, the food was nothing fancy but good quality, breakfast though was much better and plenty of choice. Very welcoming staff!!

Breakfast is OK, good, good taste. Far from the city, the front desk service is average, the hotel is very happy to help call a taxi, it is more convenient, take a taxi to the train station for about 10 pounds
