This is honestly one of the best guesthouses I’ve ever stayed in within China. The owner is one of the most genuine and nicest ladies I’ve ever met. I would highly recommend staying here.
The hotel is new. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and spacious and has all the amenities. The design and styling is also very cool. The proprietress will also cook very delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. It is also very close to the Catholic Church.
I will stay here every time I return to Cizhong.

Accepts foreigners. Great welcome. I was given a room in their newer hotel which is fantastic. Right next to the church. Some rooms even overlooking the vineyard. You can buy local wine right next door. Unfortunately a lot of Cizhong is full of construction. But the hotel was in a quieter part.

I have to give this hotel a good review. I just came out of Yubeng and came across such a hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The room is very big. The hotel is new. Everything is very new. The TV didn’t even have to remove the plastic film. The air conditioner is powerful. The boss is also very considerate. There is a small courtyard that is very unique. Overall, I am very satisfied. The only inconvenient thing is that you have to go up a flight of stairs. If you have a suitcase, you can call the boss to carry it! !

GGuest UserWhat can I say, Yeyu has simply got to be hands down, the best place that I have stayed in during my entire Yunnan trip. I am amazed and wasn't expecting it to be this great. I know the idea of staying in a luxury hotel doesn't seem to be something that goes hand in hand with hiking (I say this from my experience of having hiked in several other places before where the key highlight is the natural setting itself), but I have to say that it was really soothing for the soul. My girlfriend and I loved this place! The hotel is tastefully designed at every corner and angle and we can appreciate that a lot of creativity and thought was put into designing this place. The aesthetics is very pleasing to the eye and embraces the natural scenery really well. We also loved the homage it pays to the area's ******* roots such as the photographs displayed in the room (young ******* monks playing and the ******* gazelles in the bathroom) and also all the books about Tibet, Yunnan province that is in the library and living room space. The service provided by the staff was top notch, very attentive and caring. We were always asked if there's anything that the staff can do for us be it preparing a plate of fresh fruits, preparing some drinks for us when we were lounging at the living area and another completely unexpected one was when we returned from the Sacred Waterfall hike with our shoes filled with mud, the hotel staff kindly asked us to leave our shoes with him and it came back the next day fully cleaned, placed in front of our rooms. The lovely service provided was just simply amazing and for this, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the lovely staff at Yeyu who provided us with such a beautiful memory of our too brief stay here and thank you so much for the room upgrade. If I could organise this trip again, I would have liked to stay here much longer to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. Please believe me when I say that it is completely worth every yuan.
PS: Please note that there are two Yeyu Hotels in Yubeng, one near the pond and the other near the temple. We stayed at the one near the temple. Both of them are beautiful in their distinctive ways.

Overall evaluation: Bodu has a good price-performance ratio, good hardware facilities, very new, and large space. It is also very comfortable to live in. People who stay in these two hotels basically want to see the golden mountain in the sun. Bodu's viewing rooms all allow you to see the large snow-capped mountains in the room, which is a big plus. If you have high requirements for viewing, Bodu is more recommended. The photos are also very good! You don't need to go to the public area, the room is very beautiful.
Next, let's talk about the details.
Facilities: Good. The details are also OK, and there are also heated bath towels. It is recommended to add a makeup mirror. The bathroom light is very dim, which is not friendly to girls who put on makeup. Like other homestay hotels of the same price, they basically provide wireless light makeup mirrors, and it is recommended to prepare two for the suite. The floor heating in the bathroom is very hot. People with altitude sickness or slight discomfort will feel very uncomfortable in the bathroom. The six of us who traveled with this feeling all have this feeling.
Hygiene: Basic requirements, the room is ok. But the hygiene of the public area for afternoon tea is a little worse. If you go a little later, there will be debris on the ground.
Environment: The environment should be the best point of Bodu, there is no shortcoming to say.
Service: The only shortcoming of this trip is here. First of all, I want to emphasize that the service attitude of the staff is very good. The shortcomings in service are mainly in awareness, which should be the failure of the management.
First of all, the management is quite chaotic: 1. We are going to have afternoon tea, and it is a few minutes overtime. The housekeeper on WeChat asked us to go to the restaurant to ask someone. Don’t the hotels have contact information with each other? 2. In the evening, a man who claimed to be an engineer knocked on the door and said he wanted to check the water pressure. But we didn’t report the water pressure problem, and the front desk didn’t call to notify. The housekeeper didn’t say it on WeChat. Suddenly a man came, which was really uncomfortable for girls to travel.
Secondly, as a B&B hotel at this price. The food is really unpalatable. Whether it is breakfast, afternoon tea, or dinner at your own expense. They are not delicious. Afternoon tea is given with dried fruits, as if I went to my grandmother’s house for the New Year when I was a child. Since we are going to do it, we might as well do it better. In contrast, the food at Jixiashan is really delicious. Later, we asked Jixiashan to pick us up to eat there.
I would like to emphasize again that the attitude of the service staff in the store is very good and positive, because the staff are basically locals. We think that the management has not been properly trained in terms of hotel management and service awareness. Jixiashan next door has been open for a long time and is indeed doing better. Overall, the parking is 90 points, and Jixiashan is also 90 points. It depends on what everyone cares more about. The landscape parking is better, and the nearby restaurants can pick up and drop off. So it’s okay. Jixiashan has to go to the public area to see the big landscape, and the room is basically a small window view. There is nothing to complain about other human services and meals.
If the service awareness of the parking is strengthened. It will be better.

In the next few days, the housekeeper arranged a car to pick us up at the White Pagoda of Xiayubeng. When we arrived, the floor heating in the room was already turned on, which was very warm! Environment: The homestay is located at the top of Shangyubeng Village. The simple and modern log design style shows that the boss has great taste. All rooms face Jiangjun Peak and Shennv Peak. When the weather is good, you can open the curtains to experience the snow-capped mountains. The scenery on the terrace upstairs is even better, and the snow-capped mountains and villages are in full view!
Hygiene: The room is very clean and tidy, equipped with a smart toilet, sufficient hot water, complete toiletries, and a light sandalwood scent that is very healing!

GGuest UserThis hotel perfectly meets my needs. It has a balcony facing the 13 peaks of Meili Mountain and a small restaurant where you can cook hot dishes (no need to climb the hillside of Feilai Temple to find food).
Before placing an order, I read the reviews on Ctrip. After staying there, I found that everyone gave it genuine positive reviews.
(1) I took a bus from Shangri-La to Feilai Temple. After getting off the bus and making a phone call for two or three minutes, the boss came to pick me up, helped me carry my luggage, and introduced the room facilities. On the way back, the boss also helped me carry my luggage to the boarding point. The hotel is actually very close to the boarding point, but it takes about 100 meters to climb the slope. There is a big difference between walking this slope with or without altitude sickness.
(2) Each room will be given a cup of warm yak milk before going to bed, and there is plenty of mineral water (this is very important).
(3) The dishes in the restaurant taste good, the portions are large, and the prices are very reasonable in Feilai Temple.
(4) If you like taking photos, you can take beautiful photos of the sunrise on the balcony of the room without squeezing in the crowds and freezing in the morning.
(5) Some minor shortcomings: The oxygen concentrator is a little loud, but of course people who don't need it can ignore this. The toilet has no door, which is not private enough. The boss said it will be improved later.

There is a stairway that leads to the Feilaisi viewing platform.
If you are travelling with an elderly like me, good to check out which rooms to avoid stairs. We were lucky to be upgraded to the suite, which came with a beautiful view. However, there was a flight of stairs. The lobby staff can buggy you up, then you can. climb down instead of up the stairs.
A premier location which costs much more. If you just need a simple clean place to stay, in order to catch the sunrise, there are many more affordable choices just next to this hotel.

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ＜3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.
